Everyone has a different pain tolerance.............no one can tell
you that it is going to hurt you in any particular spot.
Your own body is different too.........you may not mind it in one area, but you might hate it in another.

It depends on a lot of things. First of all, anywhere near the bone is going to hurt more than anywhere else. Ribs, hips, wrists, ankles are more painful than say forearm or back.
Second, some people have higher thresholds for pain than others. I can sit for hours of tattooing without feeling too much pain, while others can only take ten minutes before they need a break.
Third, some artists are rougher than others. I haven't quite figured this out yet, but sometimes certain artists hurt more in their technique than others.
Fourth, hydration. I've found the more hydrated one is, the less pain. So make sure you drink a lot of water the night and the hour before you get tattooed.

it depends on alot of things. where you are getting it, your ability to handle pain and the person doing it. I have 4 and I actaully booked an appointment today to have a 5th done. 2 are on my upper back...by my shoulders, 1 is my lower back and 1 is on my hip. the one on my hip didnt hurt at all. not even for a second. the one across my lower back was a bit painful, but he was tattooing over a sunburn so that probably didnt help. one of the shoulder ones I hardly felt and the other was a bit painful becuase it was a different guy then who did my other 3 and he kept going at it in the same spot to the point it was bleeding so much he could hardly finish it. but none were really painful to the point where I would consider crying or even asking them to stop for a few minutes and it only really hurts while its getting done. after it feels like a sunburn. and after a few minutes of them tattooing it starts to go a bit numb so you dont feel it as much. to say they dont hurt at all would be a lie because your getting stuck with needles so your going to feel something, but I dotn find it anything bad at all. stubbing your toe hurts more.

I don't care who you are, tattoos DO hurt. There are variables, like people who are more susceptible to pain or just get some kind of pleasure out of it. Also, women, rather than men, seem to have a higher tolerance to pain. Certain spots can be more tender, like the stomach. Just think about it, you're getting a lot of tiny needles shoved into your flesh, at a very high speed & in the same spot; like you're stabbing the same wound repeatedly. Plus the artist needs to make sure that the ink isn't going to "fall out" & depending on their skill, they might be really jamming it in there & DEEP, alot longer than needed! And if you say something about it to them, then they'll really give you something to complain about! Afraid yet? HAHA...j/k. But there is hope! You can ask the artist if they have a topical cream, that is like novicane, for your skin. It will numb the area & take SOME of the edge off, not all, but it'll make the process more bearable. So good luck & just remember, for some hours of pain, is a lifetime of beautiful pleasure! =)

Yes, getting a tattoo hurts. How sore it's is dependent fully on in which you get it. But it is not often so sore you cannot get it completed. I've acquired a band round my higher arm. The outer facet of the arm is slightly sore however the within, in which there may be much less muscle and extra gentle flesh, the tattooist needed to press tougher so it harm extra. My exwife has a solar and moon layout round her stomach button. That, in keeping with her, was once essentially the most painful factor she's had performed. Soft aspect of the frame, lot of stress. Other locations that harm. Anywhere in which epidermis covers practically bone. So some thing at the shin goes to nip, for instance. Feet are particularly touchy, certainly at the sole, and whilst getting tats at any place else will harm, tattooing at the toes will harm LOTS. If you desire some thing performed in your again, it is approximately the exceptional situation to do it for those who are not eager on anguish. It will nonetheless harm at the gentle bits, however you've fewer nerve endings in your again than every other aspect of your frame so it hurts slightly much less. And for those who do get a tattoo, do not do it with a hangover. My first one, I'd been ingesting till 3 within the morning at the night time earlier than. Six hours sleep, traditionally nonetheless slightly under the influence of alcohol, sitting within the tattooists chair getting whiter and whiter till I needed to bolt for the bathroom and boak. (Boak, a Scots phrase for throwing up) A little anguish feels worse while you've acquired a hangover.... And do not get them at any place you cannot duvet them, until you desire to come to be doing a guide task. If you desire some thing proffesional on your existence (accountant, legal professional, stockbroker, that type of factor) a tattoo isn't going to be the exceptional factor you desire to exhibit at your interview. People make decisions at the sort of character who will get tattoos. Nine instances out of ten that judgement is flawed, but if you are seeking to get a brand new task the ones are the form of odds you do not want.

It hurts, but as to how much it will hurt depends on where you are getting it and what your pain tolerance is.

My fiance got a tattoo on his arm and it didn't hurt him at all it just stung some. I have a tatoo of a pink bow on my tailbone and the upper part that sits on my lower back wasn't too bad but the ribbons that come off of it are lower under my tailbone and that was REALLY painful.

Depends on where you get it, and the skill of your artist. The tattoo that hurt me the worst is on the right side of my chest. It felt like someone was burning my collar bone with a blow torch.

it all depends on the spot and your pain tolerance, my husband has 16 and two of them are on his neck and he said they both hurt,he has a few other ones that he said hurt, trust me i know he has a very high tolerance for pain. i just talked to him and he said the same thing its all a matter of where its going to be and your tolerance for pain
