Even weirder is a friend who died for you for no reason at all. Not only have I done nothing for Jesus, I did nothing to warrant his death for me. If he died for sins he knew I was going to commit, then that damages the free will doctrine, and we might as slide down the slippery slope to Calvinism. In which case, he didn't die for me, due to the doctrine of Limited atonement, which basically states that he only died for those who were saved.
Also, Jesus, despite being the most influential Eristic Avatar in human history (whether or not he really existed) is not my friend. I've never met him, never talked to him. We've never shared a six-pack, or gone mano-a-mano in Perfect Dark. How could he be my friend?

I haven't really answered the question yet, so I'll go with the first. I'd rather sacrafice myself, than be sacraficed for.

People just don't want to believe because they might have to change their lives and live by some rules and have some morals and values. For some people, this just wouldn't be any fun. What right does anyone have to tell them what to do? But, one day they will find out what they missed out on. One day every knee shall bow!

One day, everyone will stand before Jesus. Will it be as their Saviour or as their Judge? It's up to them.

A lot of people poke fun at Christians and belittle them because of their belief and faith in Jesus Christ. It happens in every question pertaining to Jesus Christ. But this has been going on for centuries and it's nothing new.

Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you [from their company], and shall reproach [you], and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward [is] great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
(Luke 6:22-23)

Count it a blessing that these people choose to hate you and speak evil of you. They have been doing it to Christians since the time of Jesus and they will do it until the day He returns.

But, in the end, if they don't repent and accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour, they will get what they deserve.

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
(Rev 20:15)

Wow, you're quoting Mother Theresa? Really? I think you should look more closely at her works before you use her as an example.

Amen...
Many people take the death of Jesus as a joke and meaningless, but one day we will all know the truth =)
Hopefully some will see the truth before then

God Bless You

Sorry, it's illogical that a man 2000 years ago died for the "sins" of people not yet born, "sins" not committed yet.. I'm glad it works for you, but it's not for me.

As to your question, it's too vague. It would depend on the situation.

That is very true he did something for us to give us eternal life and he asks for nothing in return except for us to live the way he did and follow his examples

What does death have anything to do with helping me or me helping anyone?Seems to me that death is the end and so there is nothing in death that is a favor for me.It would be a favor to live.Death is the end and is not a favor.

You haven't really asked a question, so I will.

Did you know that there is a difference between your beliefs and the objective truth?

Did you know that not knowing this makes christians seem incredibly unintelligent and narrow minded?

Did you know that your jesus is just a rehash of earlier, cooler gods?

He didn't die for me, he died because they killed him.

Jesus was a man, created through normal procreation.
