Ok let's focus in the word "Eternity"

there's a Good principle here for example:

the universe is infinity in space.
Do you believe that this world will last forever?
Do you really believe that the human raze will last forever?

So if the word Eternity is wrong from the Spiritual/natural standpoint for many of you. Why do we have it in the dictionary! Why do we use it?

God is eternal!

In addition, he has promised us that we will have eternal life!

Think about before this world came to existence!

There was no time right?
So how do you explain "time" if there was no time before us!

The answer = eternity!

There must be a high power and I know by this, that there is a God!

*sigh* I don't think you understand the mathematical concept of infinity or what eternity would entail. I think infinity exists only as a means of description, such as found in mathematics for example, or any other thing that exists only in the abstract. I do not believe that it has any real existence in the universe such as infinite mass or infinite size. The word 'infinity' is a descriptive term and not a measure of size, and I therefore do not see how it can be applied to anything 'real', as real things can be measured.

Can we have an infinite universe? The answer is no, the universe is finite. Stephen Hawking in 'A Brief History of Time' (1989 page 44) describes the universe as being "finite but unbounded". The simplest answer is that as the universe is known to be expanding, it cannot possibly be infinite. To be precise, the dictionary definition of the word universe is "all that is." An infinite universe for example would exist in every direction forever, there could be nothing else, ONLY the universe. It is then very easy to understand why our universe cannot be infinite, it is because it is expanding. It cannot be both infinite and expanding. It could be infinite OR expanding, but CANNOT possibly be both, that is a contradiction in terms, and we do know it is expanding.

"the universe is infinity in space."
Space itself is a thing. You aren't really understanding the physics of space. It is made up of lots of stuff and of nothing. Most scientists believe that the universe is infinite, but not that space is infinite. And some scientists don't believe the universe is infinite, but perhaps believe that it will expand into infinity or that there are infinite universes. (pass the bong, dude)

"Do you believe that this world will last forever?"
No. No scientists believe the world will last forever. The sun has a definite age and will die one day, and it will take the earth with it. Scientists even know when that will happen.

"Do you really believe that the human raze will last forever?"
No. Obviously it will die out, be destroyed or evolved into something totally different if we take up living in space. Why did you spell it with a z?

"So if the word Eternity is wrong from the Spiritual/natural standpoint for many of you. Why do we have it in the dictionary! Why do we use it?"

I'm not sure how this follows from your questions about the universe and the earth and the human race. But we have all sorts of words in the dictionary for things that do not exist or that are impossible. That is because humans have the capacity for abstract thought and speech. However, even though most physical things are not eternal (like the eart and the human race) and they will die off, other things (abstract) can be eternal. Energy, compassion, ideas etc. But mostly this is a philosophical point, not a physical one.

"In addition, he has promised us that we will have eternal life!"

This might surprise you, but for a lot of people and cultures and religions, the idea of eternal life is horrible. Buddhists and Hindus have been trying to escape eternal rebirth. The whole goal of their religion is to extinguish life. Have you really thought about living forever? Most Christian thinkers even don't believe they will live forever in any physical form since that would be maddening. They believe in their soul becoming one with god forever, which isn't too different from physical ideas about energy continuning in the universe. But the idea of living forever in heaven as me? That sounds nightmarish.

"Think about before this world came to existence!
There was no time right?
So how do you explain "time" if there was no time before us!"
You're grappling with paradoxes of time and entire fields of relativity and physics and when the answer seems hard you come up with:
"The answer = eternity!"
because it is easy. If you are really curious about asking these questions, read a Peter Davies book or read some Buddhist philosphy. I'm not saying that either will totally answer ALL QUESTIONS, but my point is that there are lots of ways to answer these questions other than the obvious kindergarten answer you gave.

eternity=non existent for life. Do you know someone that has lived for eternity? I don't and I don't know anyone that does. Just because a word exists doesn't mean that it is real. Perfect exists yet nothing is supposed to be perfect. You may be brainwashed by either your parents or your church paster. The later is known to be a persistent brain washer in order to get your money. Watch the next time you are in church and the only thing that is always present are the collection plates. It is quite simple, before you were born you were non existent and after you die you will be non existent. Religious fanatics (all god fearers are fanatics period) have a problem with this because they have been brainwashed for so long that there is a fiery pit that you will be thrown into when you die if you dont believe. Quite an adequate scare tactic. It almost turned me into a believer too until I took a geology class and learned the beautiful truth of evolution. God is only eternal to those that believe in that crap. If God exists, he is one sick bastard for the rediculous test he puts everyone through. I know I'm not going to waste my one and only life on believing in that junk. Run from your brainwashing.

Because science is a methodology that allows things to be accepted based on repeatable experimentation. It is verifiable. There is no known theory that REQUIRES God for all that is know to be true. It is very difficult to imagine an experiment to test something like this. In past the unmoved mover has been used as proof based on a null hypothesis challenging proof that something can come from nothing. Most but definitely not all atheist object to the belief in God not because they don't want to but because they evaluate reality purely on the basis of what is known and verifiable. That doesn't mean they are correct. However, there remains many emerging theories of spatial dimension and emerging universes that would allow something unimaginable to be true. Also we may be able to indirectly prove something supernatural by verifying a supernatural event. To be a little simplistic lets say I could demonstrate that a spirit could manipulate the environment in a way that cannot be explained by any current theory. Problem is that it may not be reproducible because the participant may not want to do it again. A photon doesn't care if it absorbs energy or gives off energy to an atom when it collides so I can get same result anywhere anytime.

Why must there be something before this world? What came before God? If God can be eternal, then so can the Universe. If it is plausible that God is eternal then it is plausible that the Universe is eternal. Now I don't believe that the Earth will last forever, nor that the human race will last forever but I certainly believe that the universe will last forever. And bud, imagine eternal life. How goddamn boring would that be. You do everything there is to do, see everything there is to see, and then you still got an eternity ahead of you. That would suck.

I am a non believer but if there is a God that exists he already given up the earth and humanity I gıuess

Believing in eternity is a big relief for everybody... I find it disturbing... Eternity is such a big thing that we can percieve with our little brains... Honestly I do not want to live till eternity (in my aftetrlife if there is even such thing) It is so burdensome...

At least in this universe everything has a beginning and the end. That is one of laws that you have to obey if you are here (living or not living) If you are going to have something until eternity this means that you are not in this universe... If you are not in this universe this means that you are not what you are anymore. You can not have both

You really need to get out a liitle more. They discovered the edges of the univers about 40 years ago. The universe, and the world, is in an expansion and then probably a collapse process, but it will happen long after me. Humans are not even an eye blink on the surface of this planet. I have a problem thinking they will last the next millenium. And how about this. The universe started with a big bang, expanded to where it began collapsing again and then compressed to a big bang again. The univers could be untold trillions of years old. And maybe something like god got it started some time ago, but he ain't looking over my shoulder. Time is a concept devised by man solely for his purpose. It has no use out side of that.

I don't believe in time or eternity - I just use it for communication purposes. Eternity is a designation of time, infinity is one of space. The idea of "time" is created by humans, which I assume much like the Calendar is only created for communication purposes.

But what I do believe is that you should pay more attention in Spelling Classes.

"RaCe" is with a *c*, not a *z*.

What do you mean there was no time before us? Time has always been there, man just created a way to calculate it (hours, mins...).
No, our planet wont last forever. Our sun like all other stars will one day die.
Time in a way is eternal since it never stops and never will.
If you do have "eternal life" when you die... Heaven would be packed. Can you imagine hell? hope it has enough space since only about 30% of the world is christian.

No, this world will not last forever.
I have no idea how long the human race will last. Successful species can last hundreds of millions of years.
Eternity isn't "wrong" from the natural standpoint....it's simply very difficult for us to understand. We have ways of representing it, particularly in mathematics and philosophy.
There was no time before humans, that's correct. We invented it to measure change.
