we are moving to a new house and my father inlaw wants to follow and live right next to us. what do i need to say?

If that is a problem for you, then you need to tell your husband to talk to his father about cutting the apron strings. Also if you are accepting any sort of help, financially or otherwise from him, then don't do it again and pay back anything you might owe. That apron string goes both ways.

Maybe, don't choose to avoid. I think you should ask him stay around somewhere near your block or stay diffirent storey. Is your father in law live alone if your husband moved out. I hope you can write somemore details in additional message.

Have you and your husband discussed this? If so does your husband agree? If so then HE needs to approach his dad and say that you both would prefer some privacy!
