What is evil?
No, I think people are evil! Consider removing all the people from the world like it was millions of years ago and all you have is what is and what must be. Why? Animals and things do what is necessary to survive, although there is killing and destruction there is no deeper, darker, malice behind it. With the human we would kill animals we don't eat (Settlers in America who founded the USA and the near extinction of the Buffalo) just as an example.
The thing is with humans we have free will which is God's will so to speak. God created the universe freely and people are free too. With it comes a great responsibility that we will reap the rewards or consequences for our actions. Hence global warming, smog (Back in Industrial revolution period of England), AIDS and such like.

well, this is quite simple. There is no god so no, human beings are not misdirected by evils. God has nothing to do with it since he is non existant. LOL, I love it when people say that someone is moralist because he goes to church!!!! Tell that to the Catholic priests!!!! There is no such thing as "evils". Either you are a good person or a bad person. What you do has nothing to do with whether the "devil" tempted you. You are just evil, plain and simple. Leave god out of it because he simply does not exist. LOL, dinosaurs existed with Adam and Eve? Come on now, dinosaurs were extinct 100 million years before humans evolved.

The Bible says "at the beginning the Lord God made them male and female" and "for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh". Matthew Chapter 19 verses 4-6.
Yes, human beings unfortunately are misdirected by evils and there is so much evil in this world for anyone to be tempted with. We all have the freedom of choice, who we want to be with, what sort of activities we want to indulge in. Some of us made choices without thinking of the consequences but of course it all depends on whether one believes the after life or not.

You're acting like that is the only evil in the world.. or like it's evil to begin with! Do you think homosexuality is worse than things like murder or rape? Humans are always misdirected in some sort of way, evil or not. I think the way you asked this question kind of proves it.

There is no God directing you or anyone else, what you and we all do is down to us and us alone. No evil no good only people who decide their own actions. That they are judged by their peers may determine what is acceptable and what isn't but that does not in itself make it good or evil. Why is it that so many seem unable or unwilling to think for themselves?

My Mum & Dad created me, and boy they struggled with staying together, so much so they screwed up three kids in the process. Why would any decent stable parent, allow their children to endure the misery of "their" marrage, when it would be kinder, to separate?

Your definition of "evil" is warped. Evil is what inflicts suffering on others. What adults do, or don't do, in bed has nothing to do with it. It is no more evil than whether or not one should play tennis or read Shakespeare.
