Its not as bad as you think it is. If you like roller coasters, its somewhat similar when taking off and landing. There can be turbulence, but its no worse than hitting a few pot holes while driving in a car. Remember to bring chewing gum. It helps with the pressure so your ears dont pop. Dont eat anything too heavy before you board. It can turn your full stomach. Stay away from caffeine and anything with too much sugars in it. Snack on something light. Bring an MP3 player if you have one, a book or magazine to read. Also bring a light sweat shirt or long sleeved shirt. Sometimes it can get pretty cold on a plane. I think thats about it. Just relax and I hope your first time is a memorable one.

You'll love flying. Try not to let yourself get all worked up because you can make yourself worse. Think of all the fun places you can go. Everyone fly's now and it's safer than a car. You might carry on a bag with a small throw and pillow. DON"T use their blankets and pillows on a plane because they are used by so many people. Bring your favorite magazine or book. You might bring some gum to chew before take off so the pressure in your ears won't bother you. Flying is fun and very safe. I always meet the nicest people on flights. Have a great trip!

why would you be scared? this will be a really awesome experience for you. you will really like it. if you are scared of (god forbid) any accidents, i have to tell you that statistics shows that a person is in more danger of Car accident than plane accident. i wish you had mentioned what airline it is how long you will be in the plane..
anyways, have something to read.. or just an ipod to listen to some fav tunes.
and defiantly have some gum or candies, because ears will pop and bother.
ENJOY

Bring a book to read. Bring your iPod with good headphones. When you get to your seat, make note of the all the nice people on the plane. While God may want to take your sorry butt, he surely won't want to take all those good people on the same day.
Relax. There are thousands upon thousands of flights per day. You have a much better chance of getting struck by lightening.

Think about how many flights there are every day (thousands)and how few you hear of that have any problems. It is a whole lot safer than riding in a car. Relax and enjoy. It really is fun.

I'm always a bit nervous about flying myself, so you're not alone. I take my CD player with me & listen to CD'S as I fly. I also take a pad of paper with me & while listening to music, I tend to doodle. It keeps my mind occupied. You'll be surprised how much this helps. Doing crossword puzzles help keep your mind off flying as well. If you're a book/magazine reader, that will help the time pass also. You'll do just fine. :))

Bring something to read or a game to play. That will help you keep your mind off of it. You will also want to bring some hard candies or gum. If your ears start to pop, suck on one of the candies.

just in case, have dramamine available.
I fly very rarely and wouldn't get on a plane without the stuff.
