If hunting season is open I would not recommend it. Most likely you would be fine, but why risk it. Most hunting seasons are in the fall, and very short. So you should have plenty of time to do what you like. You must share the land with hunters, just like drivers are required to share the road with you.

Hunters wait until certain times of the year to hunt. They may save up vacation or sick time to use on these hunts. They can become very agitated if you scare off the "game" in the middle of the hunt.
Take caution and wear bright clothing. Blaze orange is the standard safety color for hunting.
Don't make excessive noise or purposely cause disturbances in the woods.
Most hunters will ignore you and if you act responsibly you shouldn't have any trouble.

Yes people do hunt in the early afternoon. First I would check with you state to see what if any hunting seasons are open. If one is open that uses rifles (ie Deer season) I would suggest you wear orange vests, and stay on approved paths. Otherwise you should be just fine.

you will be fine! there isnt a whole lot in season, only year round things like coyotes, and you dont look anything like a coyote. any sensible hunter will know the the backstop of a bullet and where it will go if it misses or goes through an animal. Also, not too may animalas are active in the heat of the day anyway. Coyotes and bobcats look for food at night, but i dont know where you live or what is in season, but you should be fine, nobody is stupid enough to mistake a human on a bike for any animal.

There isn't a lot of hunting either in June or at that time of day. Moreover, real hunters aren't going to shoot unless they know exactly what they're shooting at and that the shot is clear of danger to others, though you're wise to take precautions against the occasional idiot. I'd suggest you wear something with high visibility and not worry overly much.

well depends on what you are hunting for, but no 1 p.m. is not a very prime time for hunting prime times are 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 3-4 p.m. to dark. As long as you wear proper clothing and your don't dress like an animal you should be okay, lol. have fun and hydrate hydrate hydrate.
