Honestly, I don't think losing that amount of weight "fast" is healthy.
If she wants to start an exercise regimine and do things the right way, great. If she's looking for a quick fix, she'll just end up hurting herself.
When you think about it this way, the body's functions perform for a certain weight. Every time someone loses just one pound, the body has to do some major readjusting in order for the body functions to get used to not having to worry about that one pound. Too drastic of a weight loss can make her body haywire.
Just suggest that she should have started earlier and you'll help her do it the right way upon her return.
