I hold too many advanced degrees but I'd much prefer to be a career student of life and a student of Jesus. So yes, I'm schizophrenic for Atheists and Jesus. Where's Uncle when you need him?!

I believe that holiness is akin to sanctification which is a daily walk in the pursuit of righteousness or right living.
We are justified by grace through faith,but holiness must be pursued. Holiness to me,speaks of purity of heart and mind(the mind of Christ)

I try to stay in God's word and follow the example that Jesus set. I try to do everything as unto the Lord and give Him control of every area of my life. I'm only human, I stumble & fall just like everyone else; but thank God for the blood of Jesus that cleanses my sin, and for the promptings of the Holy Spirit that put me back on the path!

Ignorance in the world makes obstacles for living a life toward the obedience of good things. It makes no obstacles for sin, it even is quick to show you what it will feel like before hand. Doing things the right way, takes a much more deliberate vision and action. However the rewards in the long run are far greater, and don't guarantee to utterly turn again into disappointment. You often don't feel the benefits of doing good until after you do it. Sometimes, its an endurance to get enough exposure to the framework of good things to fully understand them or feel the full force benefit. However, when you do it that way until it becomes a simple walk of love, there is no comparison sin could possibly tempt you with. Sin is below nothing compared against how good God intended the good things in life to actually be, and getting to fully experience them His way.

We must Worship God in Spirit and In Truth, Praying without Ceasing, And Reading His Word Daily. God will change the Un-lovely Into the Lovely and The Scorner into Holiness. He's such a Good God, All the Time, and is pleased when we strive To Be Holy. Amen. + + +

It means to be "blessed" by a deity or divine creature of some kind (depending on your mythology). Then you have to get into the meaning of the word "blessed". I suppose the best way to describe blessed is to say it means that the being that blesses you wishes good fortune on you.
Some people believe that when something is holy that it has some kind of magic to it that other things don't.

The word "holy" means "set apart". God setup the Law to set apart the Jewish people from the heathen. What the Jewish people did or did not do reflected on God's name. So for me, to just be obedient to God's Word will set me apart from the rest of the world. God gives me plenty of grace, as any parent does to a son or daughter, but in all things my focus is to please Him.

Seeking the Lord with the truth and spirit from your own heart he said he is seeking those that worship him in truth and spirit. He already knows who you are and the intent of the heart.The more we seek in Truth the truth will be revealed unto us through him and he said it is given unto "you" to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven but to them it is not given. So he already knows who he is going to give his secrets to for the benefit of the kingdom and who is going to spread the truth for him.

righteousness in to be in right standing with God, and we can only gain righteousness through receiving the sacrifice of of Jesus Christ.
holiness is living a live to be worthy of that righteousness,
in my desire to live a holy life, I strive to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
