Why do guys who hit or beat up on women do that.
I didnt get beat up or anything but I've observed men who beat up on women, I've heard some of the things they've said when they hit or beat up a woman and it makes me really REALLY angry to hear a guy say "Aww I didnt do nothin'. I only tapped her." - or, "I didnt hurt her. I only gave her a love tap."
They minimize and downplay it. Like their MINDS are SICK with denial or they just block it out what damage they do. I HATE men who hit or beat up on women and I cant for the life of me understand why a guy would say "I only gave her a love tap" or "I only tapped her"
What is WRONG with guys who beat up on women and then say something like that?

I think they are pathetic if they have to put their hands on a woman!! I've observed that it makes them feel more "manly" but I don't understand how, because any REAL man would never even think to put his hands on a woman. The "I only gave her a love tap" excuse is one of the lamest excuses in the book because if you ask the woman she would not consider it "loving" at all! That's ridiculous that men can say something like that. Maybe if they keep saying that to themselves, it lets their mind think that they aren't committing any harm and they can continue on with their actions.
It's stupid, needs to stop!
The woman should definently report the abuse!

ok well i still don't fully understand the setting,but this is my opinion when a guy is actually beating a girl (but says he was just playing to the people around)then they have a control problem and don't know how to handle themselves,they could have a problem where they produce too much testoteron and that makes them violent/bipolar,etc.. that's a not a guy to get mixed up w/.. now if you are talking about when a guy beats on a girl in a playing setting but is being too rough that is another story some couples do that for fun and it shows a sign of trust to an extent but also some people are naturally rough players..so it just depends on the person,setting,and then you can evaluate what's going on..

They have self-hatred/insecurity problems. And not just bc it is women but anyone-you have a problem if you hit anyone like this. They should really get help. There is no "love" in it. If you love someone you shouldn't want to inflict any discomfort at all (except some rough bed play ;) ) but most importantly, if you loved yourself you would go around hitting anybody-even people who instigate fights (like guy fights over ego).
It is unfortunate. I suggest calling police on someone like this. It may seem extreme for a "love tap" but it will escalate to something worse. Because if they don't see wrong in that who knows what their judgment is worth.

I'd say there is something wrong with the women who put up with it. If I were to be hit even once out of malice, I'm out! It's a deal breaker.
Period.
There are plenty of men who are abused too. You just don't hear much about it. If anyone is hitting you, you need to get out. There is no reason in the world to put up with that.

I work at a shelter for battered women. There is physical, verbal, mental, and sexual abuse. The reason for any abuse by a man/woman is power, control and intimidation.
If he is giving "love taps" it will eventually lead to the ER.
End it now unless he agrees to take some domestic violence classes.

You asked what is wrong with them.....well they are very very insecure to beat or hit a woman.........chances are they grew up in an abusive home themselves but they can learn to control themselves and break the cycle and if they can't do it on their own then they should seek help.....sadly some never do and end up killing their mate......you read about it all the time.......so sad.

Men who hit women are ABUSIVE and need to be stopped.
How does the woman stop an abuser? She puts him on the curb with the rest of the trash!!!.....immediately!.....a first hit is just a prelude to a lifetime of being abused!....or killed!

Yes there is something wrong with them. I've heard guys say "she made me hit her." There is also something wrong with women who make excuses for these men.

It isn't right......but there are some woman out there who do beat up men as well!
