A seal or mark in the forehead is spoken of many times in the bible. It refers to beliefs or thoughts. This is an interesting text when referring to the seal of God in the foreheads of mankind.

Hebrews 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

The spirit of god is the seal. Whoever confesses that Jesus is Christ has the Holy Spirit. The Revelation is a book of symbols. The forehead is the place where a person thinks. The seal is a symbol because the spirit of God is unseen. God knows a person's thoughts which are also unseen. This is what I believe. If a person believes he belongs to God through Christ, he does. That is faith which the Father sees.

The Seal of God is the Holy Spirit

God not only put His seal on Jesus, but as the bible states, also on the apostles:

The apostles were sealed with the Holy Spirit

2 Corinthians 1:22
who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.

How were the followers of Jesus sealed?

Ephesians 1:13
In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation--having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,

Ephesians 4:30
Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Therefore, the seal is given by the Holy Spirit of God.

2 Timothy 2:19
Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness."

By obtaining the "seal of God" we make sure that we are part of the group "who are His."

Revelation 7:2-4
And I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, having the seal of the living God; and he cried out with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, saying, "Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees until we have sealed the bond-servants of our God on their foreheads." And I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred and forty-four thousand sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel:

God will seal the 144,000 -- the group of Israelite virgins that obey YHWH. The sealing is done before the wrath of God is initiated. Those that have the seal of God will not suffer when God "harms the earth or the sea or the trees" during the "Wrath of God." This is because the ones that are sealed by God have the Holy Spirit.

The Sealing of God’s Slaves

John describes how some will be marked for survival, saying: “And I saw another angel (Jesus Christ) ascending from the sunrising, having a seal of the living God; and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, saying: ‘Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until after we have sealed the slaves of our God in their foreheads.’”—Revelation 7:2, 3.

This angel, Jesus is entrusted with sealing anointed Christians. (Ephesians 1:13, 14). What is this sealing, and who are these slaves of God? The sealing began at Pentecost 33 C.E. when the first Jewish Christians were anointed with holy spirit. Later, God proceeded to call out and anoint “people of the nations.” (Romans 3:29; Acts 2:1-4, 14, 32, 33; 15:14) The apostle Paul wrote about anointed Christians’ having a guarantee that they “belong to Christ” and added that God “has also put his seal upon us and has given us the token of what is to come, that is, the spirit, in our hearts.” (2 Corinthians 1:21, 22; compare Revelation 14:1.) Thus, when these slaves are adopted as God’s spiritual sons, they receive a token in advance of their heavenly inheritance—a seal, or pledge. (2 Corinthians 5:1, 5; Ephesians 1:10, 11) They can then say: “The spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are God’s children. If, then, we are children, we are also heirs: heirs indeed of God, but joint heirs with Christ, provided we suffer together that we may also be glorified together.”—Romans 8:15-17.

The seal of God are the annointed Christians from earth, the 144,000 that are being taken from the earth to reside and reign in heaven along side Jehovah God and His Son, Jesus Christ, and the myriads and myriads of angels (the heavenly spiritual creatures). They bear the "Seal of God" as they are specifically chosen by Jehovah God to reign in heaven.

The rest of those, us, who love Jehovah God and live our lives within his godly standards have an earthly hope; that is we have a hope of everlasting life on a paradise earth not filled with wickedness, politics, greed, or false religion. I have an earthly hope. I know I am not of that 144,000 heavenly class. This is just fine with me. If you have to "wonder" if you are of that heavenly class, you are not.

There is nothing wrong with this and should make no difference at all for those who truly put their trust in Jehovah and why he makes the decisions he does. I have met two of these earthly appointed ones. They are up in age and they are amongst the last chosen as most are already reigning in heaven with God. They are nothing special as here in the earth and do not brag about their position in heaven. There is something God sees in them that he does not see in me, or the remaining true Christians who have the earthly hope. Those matters are left up to Jehovah, not us.

The seal of God is your knowledge of the scriptures and their true meaning as revealed to us in his word the Bible which acts as a protection for us from the evil surrounding us and by the holy spirit, Gods active force, to provide additional guidance. The repository for that knowledge is represented metaphorically as the forehead but is indeed our brain.

the reality of this verse in the adventure that your stored or not. on the rapture, in the adventure that your not stored your not likely to heaven. in the time of the tribulation the anti christ could have 3 and a a million/2 years of peace, in this time the Jews will sacrifice animals which god would not choose the see, there will be one hundred forty four,000 Jews(12,000 from each and each tribe), they are going to pontificate to the Jews. after the three a million/2 years, there will be yet another 3 a million/2 years and a third of the international will die, on the top of this the anti christ will attack Israel, then Jesus shall come for the Jews. THIS in easy terms SMALL BITS of what's going to ensue!!!!!

Don't know! but we do know this they are Jews and are “sealed,” which means they have the special protection of God from all of the divine judgments and from the antichrist to perform their mission during the Tribulation period (see Revelation 6:17, in which people will wonder who can stand from the wrath to come).

God Bless

Don't forget that the premise of religion is to categorize people and force them into to picking sides, feeding off of our need to belong. Give me one passage from any religious text that wouldn't be considered hear say, even in God's court of law. You can try looking, but you won't find it. If you really believe in God, and his alleged word, you have to believe that you were made in his own image. Read the text and find one trate He has that you don't. The only one is omnipresence, but that's only because of our confines to the flesh.
There is no seal. If anything it is a metaphor for, what you believe is marked all over your face. Kind of like the smile one can't hid.

Some believe that this represents a micro chip implanted under your skin that you would use to prove your identity. This has been proposed now by some of the major credit card companies for ID.
