Understand that scientists are just people, too. They have opinions just like anyone else. They carry no particular weight especially when you are as old as I am and seen just how wrong the opinions of scientists and other smart people can be. What matters is proof. And proof is sorely lacking.
Even if every scientist in the world had the same opinion it would not make it fact. Only scientific proof can do that. Remember, at one time every scientist in the world agreed that the sun revolved around the earth. That is, until one came up with indisputable proof that it does not. Now we know the facts. It doesn't matter how many scientists are of the opinion that the sun revolves around the earth. It simply does not.
Please stop, think and read the link.

I don't think so. Many people say they are but forget about it when leaving their homes and leaving AC's on etc. I think a big problem is that most people are not educated on the topic and thus don't know the impact of their actions. It's not very cool to say this but maybe we need a few more tsnuamis and a couple of survere droughts. Just look at the tormado a week ago in the middle east, thats not normal, its global warming!

today i consider no one is caring about our mother nature.................................................
NO kyoto protocols can solve the problem until and unless the amendments and the restrictions on the usage of the materials with lot of emissions of green house gases..
its not just the governments making these laws to control global warming but the public should realise what actually is happening and what our future generation are gona experience the most catatrophic natural disaster in their near future.
the developed countries like USA are at the top of the list when it comes to the amount of emission of green house gases..but refuse tod to sign the kyoto protocol...is this the way the only super power had to behave..y dont we just take some to thnk abt our environment?
himalayas are melting fast, antartica is growing small and the sea levels are raising strong, what are upto? are we digging our own grave?
the answer is yes. if we dont join our hands to protect our world now,we would reach a level from where there is no looking back from our death.............................

Today, and in the last oh decade or more, we have had a push by the wacky liberal left to "save mother earth." its like the gold fish saying, "Save the bowl!" It has nothing to do with actual planet altering, but more to do with power. The more I look into it, the more I see the mentality of.."Don't you care about the planet...just do what we tell you!" Offering no proof, just fear inducing guestimations. Their message is, "The future MAY be bad, so lets stop it. The harm in us being right and NOT stopping it is so bad that we can risk us being wrong and us trying to stop it." In other words, we can't prove it, so don't make us.

In order to stop the contrubution to Global Warming made by greenhouse gases such as co2, we would have to cut our production of co2 almost to zero and we would have to persuade or force every other nation on the planet to do the same.
The People's Republic has already said that they will not voluntarily reduce their co2 production to zero.
Unless you are willing to force the Peoples Republic of China to reduce its production of co2 to zero you will not be able to prevent Golobal Warming due to co2 production even if you get the coooperation of evey other nation on this planet, including the United States to cut co2 production to zero.
To cut co2 production to zero we must first stop heatiing our homes and heating our water for bathing.
We must learn to bathe and shower in cold water.
This is the first step that we must take so that people become accustomed to some of the sacrifices that they must make.
Next we must stop cooking our food.
Third we must ban all transportation both public and private. That means we must ban all automobiles, buses, trains aircraft and shipping.
We will no longer have a distribution system for food and clothing so we will all need to move to plots of land at least 20 acres in size so we can produce all of our food and cotton for our clothing.
Unfortunately this will create urban sprawl on a scale that we have never seen before.
We will no longer be able to build homes, we will have to learn to live in tents made from cotton that we have grown on our 20 acre plots of land.
We will need to have a massive retraining system since most people do not know how to raise their own food or spin cotton into thread or weave that thread into cloth to make clothing and tents.
The undertaking that we must make to prevent Global Warming due to co2 production is so massive that most people are not prepared to make it.
Currently we are merely engaging in some feeble ineffective public relations activities such as recycling, turning out the lights in rooms that you are not using and buying hybrid cars.

If you look at news reports from the mid 80's, they were carrying on with the same thing then.
I think we are just experiencing natural evolution. And themedia loves a good hype up. Makes good ratings.

No, nobody really cares. However, many people see it as an opportunity to make money without doing anything to help solve the problem.
