I'll pray for him...
God only knows what would be best for him,
but tell your friends never loose hope!
He has much more chance to survive than when we were young, cancer treatment improved a lot during last decades...

I have prayed for your friends son and for his family. You cannot tell them how to deal with this-it is their choice whether to continue fighting or to quit. Just be supportive and assist them in any way you can whatever their decision may be. I will keep them and you in my prayers that Gods will be done and that each of you will be able to feel the presence of God and the peace that passes all understanding whatever the outcome. God bless you.

The treatment for cancer is cruel. . .quite often more cruel then the disease itself. I think we will eventually make more headway in a better treatment for cancer and eventually a cure. I think years from now people will be shocked at the means we used to treat cancer.

I will pray that your friends will have the wisdom for the decisions they are to make and for comfort in regard to those decisions. I will also pray that their son will find comfort.

There is really nothing you can do, but be there for them. . .listen to them. . .sometimes people don't need us to do anything but be available.

Your friends and his son are most definitely in my prayers, if the son is old enough to understand whats going on, then he should be asked what he wants, to continue or just let go. Any form of cancer treatment is extremely hard on the body, but if successful, then a bright future could still await him. As a parent, it would be heart-breaking to watch my child suffer but at the same time, I wouldn't want to just give up either..if its his time to go, then treatment or no treatment won't matter, its really all up to God in the end, just let your friends know you love and support them, especially in this very difficult time.

If prayer puts your mind at ease, then do so.

It is not your decision to make if they should let go, the doctors will better inform the family than you could.

What you think should be kept to yourself, it is what the boy thinks that is important. It is his choice to decide to push on with chemotherapy, or die a dignified peaceful, painless death, the doctors will support him either way on the decision.

Saying what you think to the parents will do more harm than good, let them decides for themselves as a family, together.

For Prayer, go to Yahoo Groups-"The Intercessors." I will pray. I don't know about your health question, pray for an answer. May God grant an answer in His will and give comfort.

Lord, we are lifting Katy's friend's son up to you. Father, you are a God of healing and restoration and with You all things are possible. There is nothing too great for Your hands! For it is by Your son's stripes that we are healed! We place this young one in Your hands, Father and ask Your will be done in his life and the lives of his family. We thank you that you are restoring and healing him and making him new. We thank you for the comfort of his friends and family and that you are also making them strong for the road ahead. Please walk with Katy and her friend and son and let their lives bring You honor and glory. In Jesus name....amen!

Katy, your friend is blessed with a friend like you! May the Lord bless you and your friend and her precious child!

My mother was gravely ill for 6 months. She was dying of rectal cancer. Every day her doctors would tell us, "she will not make it". One day my mother was healthy and happy and the next, she was fighting for her life in the ICU.
There is nothing we can do except render ourselves completely to The Lord. Never lose faith, prayer is the most powerful weapon against any suffering we endure.
*MY PRAYER*
"HAVE MERCY ON ME, DEAR GOD, FOR I AM ILL. MY EYES HAVE DROWNED IN TEARS AND MY SOUL IS IN ANGUISH. MY LIFE IS WASTING AWAY IN PAIN AND MY STRENGTH IS WEAKENING. SEND YOUR ANGELS TO PROTECT ME AND TO SURROUND ME WITH YOUR LOVE. I HUMBLE MYSELF IN YOUR PRESENCE, AND WITH FAITH, I ASK YOU TO HEAL THIS BODY WHICH YOU CREATED. I BELIEVE IN YOUR PROMISES AND YOUR HOLY LAW LIVES IN MY HEART. I WILL WAIT PATIENTLY FOR YOUR RESCUE...IF YOU WISH,YOU CAN HEAL ME. I WILL PRAISE YOU AND GLORIFY YOUR NAME FOREVER. Amen.

Believe in the healing power of The Lord, and never stop praying for your friend's son. Soon God will wipe away every tear from the eyes of the redeemed. There will be no more death, or mourning or crying or pain.(Rev21:4)Cancer will be no more!
My mother was miraculously healed, and The Lord can do the same for your friend. Just believe!
