It is time to answer. If it was proven beyond any dout that the Watchtower organization prophesyed armagedon, and claimed that they were the mouthpiece of God, and the prophesy didn't come true, would you consider them a flase prophet? Please no lengthy out of context scriptural essays,,,just a answer to the question at hand would be enough.

Fred Franz was also one of the 4 people who translated their bible. ..He wasn't qualified and neither were the other 3..two of which I believe had only high school education. I have found that their Bible has been twisted to intemperate their beliefs as truth..If their bible was the correct one as they claim..then explain how God didn't correct this 100's of years ago..That's just my thoughts about it..
Their minds are so closed that they will not even consider that they may be wrong..
The bible says to make sure of all things..and this is what I did several years ago..They really should do the same.

Lemming, you are worse than Fireball who by the way is no where to be found.

I am so sick of you and your followers attacking the Jehovah's Witnesses most especially the Watchtower Society. You may feel sorry for this group of people but you know what? They feel the same way about you or about us!

I have a friend who is a JW and yes, her parents were aware of the 1975 Armageddon and yes, they witnessed that many of the JWs actually worked so hard including them during the 1974 year; some even selling their belongings since they honestly believed that 1975 was TRULY IT. Franz said that "it could be....but they are not sayin....and whether it comes or not, that all JW should still continue the work of the Lord". Again, he said "possible but they are not sayin.... but to continue serving Jehovah..."

My friend's parents took that to heart so when the assumption of armageddon coming in 1975 did not pull through, they continued to serve as Jehovah's Witnesses. You call that LOYALTY.

So, to answer your question, if i was one of JWs... i will not consider them a false prophet just because a prophesy did not come true. That is what you CALL FAITH, my dear...which obviously you don't have!

Hello! I will be as brief and to the point as possible. Concerning Armageddon and what Jehovah's Witnesses believe and what the bible teaches are one in the same. At Matthew 24: 36 it states, "Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father." Jehovah's Witnesses do not set a date for Armageddon, the signs that Jesus gave while on earth listed in Matthew 24:13 serve as a guide to the entire world as to when Jehovah's Day will come. We also look to 2 Timothy 3: 1-7 showing the attitude of mankind during the last days leading up to Armageddon. If you read these 2 passages I think you too can see that the Bible is true in what it says about the time we are living in. To address false prophecy...Jehovah's Witnesses only teach what is in God's word and we wait for Habakkuk 2:3 as should the rest of the world, which says, "For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it keeps panting on to the end, and it will not tell a lie. Even if it should delay, keep in expectation of it; for it will without fail come true. It will not be late." We wait patiently on Jehovah to execute judgment, he knows the day in mind and it will not be late. Also to help in knowing why we preach and go from door to door frequently, please read the entire chapter of 2 Peter 3.

I must say yes, My dear friend JW Jose has written a book saying that the end of the world is in 2012 or 2014 I think.
He has made some calculations and so.

He also places JWs at the head of the kingdom. I have told him that if God did not give a date, why should he.

We have contrary views on many things and agree on others, but we love and respect each other. I heard he also got a letter on apostasy but I think somehow got to stay.

I honestly believe there is nothing left to prophesy, but interpretation of scriptures.

Jesus said, "and you shall be by witnesses."
That means being one with Christ through baptism and believing. Spiritual gifts are by faith, unseen and not of this world. Because they are unseen, people are looking for a way other than Christ to be acceptable to God. No other way than Christ is acceptable to God. Many churches make mistakes concerning this and are seeking something they can see to make them acceptable to God. Jehovah Witnesses also make this mistake. The fact that they predicted something that didn't come doesn't make them much different from mainline churches that are in captivity to the material. It is a false prophesy to teach that the spiritual is material. Satan is a deceiver of the nations, not just the Jehovah Witnesses/

But you were preaching 22 years and if that was a lie how do we know you are no lying now?

If 1914 wasn´t the date of Jesus began to rule among his enemies as Psalm 110:1? than why every single detail of Matthew 24:7-14 are fulfilled even christians of other denominations are agree with us in what Jesus said.

1914 began the period called last days that will finish with the armageddon (that is the date that nobody but God knows) , all denominations of christianity are agree that we are leaving in the period of the end, or Catholics and evangelicals aren´t you agree that we are in the last days?

and about the windows that only is in cold weather I live in the caribbean and all kingdom halls have a lot of windows, please don´t use something as fool as that to attack it is an insult to your own intelligence.

by the way to all people here she is lying she told me before she was JW and now told something that show me that she wasn´t, so if you want to trust in a liar... it is up to you.

so you removed the block thank you but next time you want to attack at least be honest with the other participants don´t fool them making believe you were JW and now you are "free" because you believe in a place that God use to torture people and we don´t because it is a lie.

I once met a JW who insisted they never predicted Armageddon for 1975. I asked her when she became a JW. "Er... after 1975" she admitted. 'Nuff said!

The Wt.Soc indulges in revisionist history. The 1975 generation of JWs are now getting quite old. Post 75 converts were told a different story to the pre75 generation. The pre75 ones kept their mouths shut (either that or they suffered selective amnesia). Don't you feel desperately sorry for them? Can you find it in your heart to pray that God will release them from the man-made system they are enslaved to?

You are not an apostate, you are just a liar that it is making believe that you were JW, previously you answer me that i condem you to the hell, and every single people here know that JWS don´t believe in a place of torture that God use to torture evil, yes I am moises3702 and you put a restriction because you don´t want that people see that you are more false that a bill of 127 dollars.

first you told me that you were JWS for 22 years later you told me that Jesus is Jehovah and no matter if someone stop being JWS didn´t believe in a pagan trinity, later you said that I condem you to hell, so you are telling that we believe in hell as a place of torture, and we don´t , we do not use that to fear people.

so wait you were JW for 22 years and NOW you say those things.

The bible talked about people like you, that would want sway others away from the truth.

Becareful because you know (if you were JW for 22 years) that what you are doing is a sin.

Actually a fellow by the name of Fred Franz was the chief theologian who came up with that idea. After it didn't happen, 1975 or so, they reorganized and dropped that from they're teachings.
I wouldn't consider "them" a flase or false prophet. Many religions have predicted things that haven't happened. Just goes to show that those who think they are the "rightest" usually aren't.
