Is he scared of something? Did you discipline him before you stuck him in there? I would suggest letting him come out on his own time. If it's not hurting anyone to let him stay in there you're only going to make it worse to try and force him out. He'll come out when he's ready, so just leave the door open and leave him alone. If he doesn't come out after a while then shut the door, walk away, and come back in a half an hour. Open the door, call to him, and if he still doesn't come close the door again. Repeat until he comes out. Sooner or later he's going to have to potty and dogs wont generally go in their crates/beds. Good luck!

Why do you want him out of his crate? Is he sick? or does he just want to be left alone?
If you have to have the dog out.....put a collar (chock chain/training collar) on him and an leash and pull him out.
If he is acting stubborn, than you need to address this issue.
What breed is the dog and maybe I can give you some insight.
Most dogs don't want to go in.....this is a new one.
Good Luck

Your question does not explain the circumstances. But from what you say he must be ill. Or terrified. Does he have reason to be frightened? It's most likely you need to lift him out and take him to the vet. Be careful though because if he is in pain he may snap at you.

LMAO
Mine do that all the time. Be surprised how quickly they can get out of the crate when you tip it up on end.

We have one ole' girl that sometimes wants her sisters crate and won't give it back unless we dump her out.

If he won't come out for a hot dog, he must be sick. How long has he been like this? If it's been a while already maybe you should take him to the vet.

Are you sure he's okay? For a time my old dog had Lyme Disease and needed to be treated with antibiotics and analgesics. Or, maybe he's just lazy and wants to hang out.
