From personal experience the two best are Lean System 7 and Xenadrine NRG, both available at GNC, though I am sure you can find Xenadrine just about anywhere. In spite of a bad history, today most fat burners are safe to use if used as directed and only used for a short term. I have lost 40 lbs since January, and I did take a fat burner for the first two months just to get my metabolism up. Some people think that you will just gain the weight back once you come off of them, but this is not true if you strength train. Lean muscle boosts your metabolism since muscle requires more energy than fat, so when you come off of the fat burner, you are coming off to a higher metabolism. I have been off them for two months and CONTINUE to lose weight, not the opposite.
Remember to ease yourself onto them. So if the directions say take 3 capsules 2 times a day, I started taking 1 capsule twice a day for a couple days, then bumped it up to 2, and then after about a week I go up to the full dose. Taking a full dose off the bat will just make you jittery and will affect sleep. Also, never take your last dose past 6pm. This is exactly what I did, and they did a very good job of giving me more energy, boosting my metabolism, reducing my appetite, and my sleep was never affected (I am a troubled sleeper too). I no longer need to take them, but they are a great way to jump start an exercise program, because those first few weeks can be difficult energy-wise and motivation wise.
Best of luck!

There isn't a single diet pill out there that will help you lose weight.
Here's the plan that works... 1. a little exercise (swimming, walking) 2. Rather than eat 3 square meals a day you will now eat five to seven times per day - eating smaller portions and just enough to keep the hunger away. Not enough to fill up. ( as you work out a little your stomach will shrink and it will take less to fill you up. Your body will have an easier time burning up what you do eat. 3. Cut the fat intake. Do NOT eat anything white ( no milk, no rice, no patatos, no bread). If you eat it reduce the amount that you will eat. Lots of chicken and veggies. If you need something fattening to easy (pizza, pasta, etc) then eat only a small portion of it to satisfy your need and nothing more.
You need to be able to eat what you want but in moderation to maintain keeping the weight off as well as losing it. What good is a great diet if you can't stay on it forever and you can't keep the weight off. But eating all day in small portions you can enjoy a meal and still maintain the hot bod. :)
Good luck.

The best fat burner is not a pill. It's a low carbohydrate diet. If you only have a little weight to lose, like 20 pounds or so, then it will be especially easy. But if you have a lot to lose, following a low carb diet is even better!
The easiest plan is Atkins, but you might also look at South Beach which is more liberal, or Kimkins which is super-strict.
Basically, you will avoid "empty" calories and focus on real nutrition. You will not eat bread, potatoes, rice, pasta, or sugary fruits like bananas. You will eat plenty of salad greens and toppings like cucumbers, peppers, squash, mushrooms. You'll eat veggies like green beans and broccoli, squash, cauliflower. You'll eat low sugar fruits like blueberries and strawberries. You'll eat fresh meats such as steak, chicken, fish, and pork. And you'll reduce processed meats like sausage or deli/sandwich meats. You'll eat limited dairy, no liquid milk, but you'll get cheese and plain yogurt. You'll drink water, coffee, tea and diet soda. You'll stay away from regular soda, fruit juice, and can use a no-calorie sweetener instead of sugar.
Then you'll gradually add back some things as your weight drops. And you're weight will drop fast -- about 5-8 pounds in the first week. Then you can decide whether to keep losing fast, or add more foods back for variety.
On Atkins, you should follow the strict part, known as "Induction" for six weeks, but some people only do it for four weeks.
The benefits are that (1) it's easy to follow and (2) you really will lose weight and (3) your health will improve! No side effects like insomnia or low energy -- you'll feel GREAT!

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

Let me tell you what to do... Go to a truck stop, and look for two things... 1) Black Ice (you want only the straight caffene type) "Fat Burn" 2) packets of Energy Drink additive (they come in flavors like jamoca, chery-chocolate) This is an amazing combo, it will boost your metabolism and yet not give you the shakes... do use other caffine sources... take this once to twice a day... that is all you will need in the way of diet aids... The next thing to do is increase your activiies... take one tablet of the black ice

My mother always told me (since my girlfriends were taking them) "don't you dare take them, once you stop you will gain the weight all back times two". So she scared me from fat burners forever. I would recommend green tea, lemon water, protein shakes (these 3 options are great and are more natural then a pill). Also, cardio on an empty stomach (in the morning) and go to the gym and lift weights.

Be a kid all over again! When eating out, order some sort of child’s sandwich, pizza or burger. Then you can have the treats you're keen on, while reducing your portions and cutting your calorie intake.

Cardio exercise is the best fat burner...and you want to "lose" weight (not loose).
Get busy working out, shoot for 1 hr a day, 5 days a week.
Good luck!

A pair of new balance sneakers and a run taking twice a day for 360 days would do the trick.

Swap a bowl of pasta for a bowl of vegetables. You can conserve to 200 calories by cutting the starch and adding produce.
