Do you really think all 12 million of those undocumented immigrants are here from Mexico alone? Get a clue!

Studies document, even in the biased Center for Immigration Studies that:
Out of the 12 million illegal immigrants 8 million of them are Mexican. Now this may seem like a massive amount of those "still" illegal but out of the 33 million foreign born migrants, 15 million of them are Eastern Europeans who in the last 10 years have done it using anchor babies and scam marraiges through prostitution.
No one really want to expose the seedy underbelly of the problem but you may consider those 7.9999 million Mexicans lawbreakers but only a small handful of them actually do real crime like forging documents or running drugs, whereas Eastern Europeans have entire money laundering schemes, credit card fraud and they do it using the holes in the system.

So go ahead and tighten up the border and build better walls and stop hardworking people from getting jobs and contributing.

Good question. I suspect there are two possible reasons, neither of which hits on actual problems from immigrant populations (that you correctly discuss):

1. Racism- This was clearly the case in previous eras with the country quota system where Europeans were privleged over Latin American, Asian, and African countries. This should not come as any suprise that there are common racial animosities underlying the immigration policy and its portrayal in the media.

2. Brick and Mortar Solution- It is easy to say "Let's build a fence to keep out illegal immigrant" (although that won't work and is a bad idea generally)...it is a lot harder to actually take a look at the other ways of illegally entering or staying in the nation. The entire immigration system would have to be overhauled (something that the elected representatives certainly don't have the stomach for) including revisions to student visas, Canadian border security (see the recent TB case), extended diplomacy with countries about immigration, revision of the family provisions, etc. These would be necessary, but probably not good for the country.

That's two possible reasons

You contradicted yourself! 12 mill minus 8 mill = 4 million other raced illegals. 8 million is bigger then 4 million last time I checked! I see a big problem when the dominant race is being out numbered by hispanics when most of them come here illegally, pop out a couple kids and then get arrested for some random crime. It is not helping the situation when the illegal mexicans DON'T speak english and procreate like bunnies and then mooch off the system. I don't see other illegal 'minorities' doing that. Also a vast majority of our criminal society is either black or hispanic, who do you think we are going to complain about when every new illegal hispanic adds to the financial woes of our fine nation. If you don't like the mass opinion go back home and make the hispanic homelands a beautiful utopia and leave us alone.

I guess if you demonstrate under a Mexican flag in large numbers and get on the network news, you cannot complain when you are identified with your cause.

It is like a woman complaining about leering teenage boys on a topless beach - "if you cannot stand the heat get out of the kitchen".

That having been said, I do not see why need to do much more than build a fence. The US born children of illegals are citizens, so the migration is effective in about 20 years. That is enough time to be absorbed into the culture, so long as people do not stay in a ghetto, but get about. Heightened enforcement once people are in and not causing trouble is stupid and alienating.

Actually there are almost 20 million illegals in the US.

But you and I both know that the MAJORITY of the illegals in the US are Mexican! You said it yourself "Studies document, even in the biased Center for Immigration Studies that: Out of the 12 million illegal immigrants 8 million of them are Mexican" 8 million out of 12 million is a majority!!!!

Illegal Mexicans commit just as much, probably more crime in the US than the Eastern Eurpoeans that you mentioned!!

I want all illegals expelled regardless of country of origin. But let's face facts. Of all the other countries in the world (about 133 of them) your own numbers show that Mexico makes up around half of all illegal aliens. That is the biggest bang for the buck.

I think your sympathies are commendable but misdirected. Why is no one seeking answers as to why Mexico finds it necessary to export 8 million of it's people to find work? Why isn't anyone trying to fix what is broken in Mexico?

It doesn't not matter if there is only 1 illegal Mexican, it is not about the counties from which they come it is because they are illegal. If they are hardworking or not, is not the issue we as a country have the right to decide who and how many immigrates we allow in our country

I don't know which people you're talking about. I've never seen anyone call for deporting Mexican illegal immigrants but letting other illegal immigrants stay. Mexican illegal immigrants just get more attention because there are so many of them.

They commit a real crime when they enter this country illegally. You cant say one crime is real and some others arent. The laws are there for a reason and you dont get to choose which ones you want to obey.

Good point, good sir. Mexicans are picked on unfairly here, and proportional to their population actually commit less real crimes than other illegal immigrants from Europe or Africa.

Get a Clue! The most common phrase used in this forum is illegal immigrants from any country need to be deported- it is actually more pro illegals that are calling on Mexican illegals... talking about how poor their country is and how they only come here for a better life, and how we are racist against Hispanics because we don't want illegals in our country... sorry.. but you need to talk to the people on your side- because you guys are the ones making it about Mexico.. so find the ignorance within yourself.. I will say it as many have done a thousand times.. I don't care what country someone is from if they are here illegally they need to go home..
