I got an email a while ago that said the lady swore by it. As soon as you get stung you are to put a penny on the sting and something with the copper is supposed to help it. Any one try it?? I hate getting stung so I am not about to test out the myth but if anyone has done it let me know.

I never heard of this one, but here is one that I have used and it works extremely well. Make sure the stinger is out, wash with cool water and soap. Leave the skin where the sting was very wet and put an aspirin on it. You can hold the aspirin in place with a band-aid and keep it damp. It eases the sting and keeps swelling to a minimum.

Even if copper was good for bee stings (which I've never heard), pennies are no longer made with copper: they're zinc.
What I do for bee stings is mix baking soda and water and put that on, it helps draw out the stinger/ease the hurt.
