My in-laws are from the great state of Maine, and they know where all the local strawberry, blueberry fields are. Every year there's an event to pick them fresh, even eat them as they pick them. It sounds like so much fun! Is there anything like that here in Colorado?

Colorado has a strawberry festival in Glenwood Springs; but unfortunately it was this past weekend! Not to dispair, though - there are other things that you can pick on your own at different times. It's a particularly good place for Christms trees and Halloween pumpkins at the appropriate season. Raspberries are a big commodity in Colorado as well. I'm including a link to a pick-your-own site that may help you locate what you're looking for.
