Tough question. We don't generally have organizations...=0)

Maybe the atheist kids at your school aren't as scary as you think...

That would depend on you believe.

The trouble is that so many people, including athiests, tend to consider athiests some sort of group or set of people with common beliefs. Actually, we are not defined by any particular beliefs, but the lack of a particular one.

Most athiests you would find just as annoying to be around as religionists. It's like trying to form a friendship base on a mutual dislike of chocolate ice cream.

Growing up, I didn't engage people in conversations about religion, because everyone around me was Christian. As we got older, many of my friends either lost their beliefs or decided to believe only in God, not in any other traditions of their faith. Probably the best place to feel people out is your science class.

Be careful about connecting with people online. Some will try to take advantage when you tell them your age.

And your question is about religion, not English, so I respectfully ask that other users note your age and the validity of your question and skip the English lesson!

Whew. 14, huh? People your age are still searching for what they believe. Peer pressure is still a big factor. Conformity means a lot to many kids your age. You might be an exception to that. Just keep going forward and question everything. Sounds like you're doing great so far!

Atheist just don't believe in any Deity. They don't have like a club or anything. You just are. Study lots of science. Scientist tend to be atheist. LOL Science the bible usually clash ALOT. Proof sort of drives them away from it.

do web searches for "Atheist organizations" and"Secular humanists"
There are many such organizations, despite what some atheists say.

Also, if the is a major college or university near you, check to see if there is such an organization on campus. They might not let you join, but they may sponsor programs you can attend.

Good luck with your search.

They are everywhere: Catholic priests, preachers, etc.
Everyone in charge of a religious organization is a hiding atheist.
Just think about it. Do you really think those pitchmen believe in God.
All they care about is the money they get from the fools that donate to their churches.

Hi Tess. Just go and do what you like to do, you'll meet people from all walks of life who have similar interests. Make friends with them regardless of what they believe!

Maybe its because atheists don't feel the urge to tell everyone they see on the street how they feel about God. Unlike some people...

Atheists are usually not afraid to have friends who don't necessarily hold the same beliefs. Why do you need atheist friends?

Your only 14 so most people that you hang out with are still kind of uneducated in the whole fake religion thing. Way to open your opinions and free your head. As to meeting people I have no clue. good luck.
