oh my god i am so sorry to hear that. if you have family then spend asmuch time with them as u possible can. make sure they are aware of how serious it is because my aunt died from cancer and she hadnt really explained to any one the possibilities. Also if i was you i would see as much of the world...if you want to...take your family with you as well. write a book about anything...you never know who you might influence. spend all your money on what ever you want. you cant take it with...but i would leave enough for funeral if you want one....
but deffinatly most of all just spend as much time with the people you love.

Look up Hoxsey Clinic on the internet. I know two people who were given six months to live and decided to go there since they didn't have anything to lose. They both are cancer free. I have just been diagnosed with my second breast cancer and a PET scan to see if it was anywhere else. I had already decided to go there if it was anywhere else. According to the internet they have a one time fee of $3500...period. Most people who go there have exhausted all other options, so the fact that they have a success rate of 6 in 16 is pretty darn good. It's all herbs and nutrition, so it's not the way most of us have been conditioned to believe. You read about it and decide for yourself. There's a similar place in Texas, but Hoxsey was the original.

Good Luck!

Oh my, quite a shocker, huh? So sorry to hear of your troubles. And then I think "what's there to say?"

I believe I would thank the good Lord above for the days that I've had, and the many blessings I have received...
I believe I would surround myself with things that I love - people, pets, flowers, food, music... I believe I would try to tell everyone what they mean to me and how much I love them... I believe I would sit in the sun and drink frozen daiquiris, cook a big steak on the grill, go swimming, look at all my pictures I've gathered thru the years, call everyone I know, even if it's long distance... I believe I would eat anything I wanted, maybe shower in the rain or run naked in the yard, have a huge party with all the whistles and balloons... I would forgive anyone that had done me wrong and ask forgiveness from those that I might have done wrong to... I would tell everyone that I love just that - that I love them..

My thoughts and prayers are with you!

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
And if I die before it's light,
Please grant this prayer I pray tonight.
I pray a blessing on my kids' lives,
Please help them, Lord, through all times.
As they learn what's right and wrong,
In you I pray that they'll stay strong.
And when they have no where else to go,
When they're troubled and their heads hang low.
I pray that they'll remember you, O Lord,
And most of all, that they won't forget your Word.
In you, I pray, they will seek all things,
At night please let them dream good dreams.
Let your Word be the light unto their feet,
Let your arm be their guide up everything steep.
Let your words of wisdom lead them each day,
Let your footsteps in the sand show them the way.
And when they grow up and move away,
Please help them through life, day by day.
When they look into the sky each and every night,
Lord, let them see your shining light.
And every time they think of me,
My love to them, I pray, they'll see.
Cause now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
And if I die before it's light,
Please grant this prayer I prayed tonight.
Amen

In 2001 my father was given 2-3 weeks to live. I was told to get there as fast as I could that he would not have much time, that I needed to get his affairs in order.
I got there and did what I was told. Did the DNR papers, spoke with Dr.s, banks, lawyers, all of that! I spent 2 quality weeks with my dad fishing, boating, ballgames etc., but then I got a call my son was hurt. He told me to leave my child needed me more. I went home.
However, my father came to visit me 3 times after that, and once for a whole month! He got the chance to teach my son how to drive, they camped and fished, he got his hair "done" by my 6 year old daughter. We loved every moment we had with him, and he made up for my childhood and him not there!
My father passed in October 2003, just 3 weeks after my son was diagnosed with cancer. I was devistated! My son was sick and my dad was gone. I couldn't get up there to handle the rest of the preperations I had already made. My older daughter saw how much I was hurting, and she said to me..."God needed another angel to watch after Thommy and who better than Granpy, to do just that."
My son is now 20 and in remission for 3 years.

The moral of this is,....
Doctors can only give you an estimated time to live, you have to decide, while living, what is important and what is not, and when it is time to go.

Sorry to hear of the news. I would work on eliminating things that cause stress in my life, contact every one i know, say something uplifting and encouraging to them, and if you love them, make sure they know. I would go to buffets and eat as much as i wanted to. If i had family - i would make sure all my finances and assets are in order to be passed over. Also, i might go on a major shopping spree. I would give the gifts and receipts to the people i love - but i would tell them not to use it until i died - in case i live and have to return everything.

Don't quit fighting. Who knows what medical advances are just around the corner?

In the meantime, live your life to the fullest possible extent.

May God bless you.

That sucks.

I say that first you should get a second opinion. If it matches the first one than put all your affairs in order.

Then do what you want to! You only have so long and as long as everything is done you should enjoy yourself.

Good luck.

Make sure you are right with God. And settle your financial affairs in writing. And tell your family you forgive all things. And of course tell everyone you love them.

My heart goes out to you, its never easy to have to deal with the knowledge.
Personally I would like to travel and see places I have only ever dreamed about.
