This is no guarentee, but you can go to www.dogpile.com and search by audio. The search engine will search the internet for the song and return them to you. The search (In my example I looked up "numb linkin park" without the quotes) results look like this:

File Name Meteora - Numb
Format mp3
Site URL www.chat.co.yu © Warner Bros. Records|warner Bros. Records [Found on Singingfish, Yahoo! Search]
Playtime 03:06 sec.

Let's break it down:

File Name - the name of the file (simple... ha ha)

Format - The format of the file. MP3 and Windows Media Format are ok, avoid "plain" unless you have a convertor and "real" unless you use real player. I would suggest to download only if it says MP3, msmedia, and windows.

Site URL - Site where the song is stored. Usually doesn't matter, but as you use DogPile more and more, you'll find that certain sites (www.aol.com.us) will host the song for streaming and not let you download it.

Playtime - How long this particular song will play. You'll find that a lot of songs may still be samples, but it's not hard to find the whole song. Watch for short songs (samples) and long songs. Sometimes people will record the radio and forget to stop recording so you may get a 5 min song with part of the radio DJ on it.

When you find a song that meets your specifications, right click the name and click "Save Target As..." If you're still having problems getting songs, message me and I can help you out with more specific details.
