Ma$e? The list looks good for the most part. The order isn't really the way I'd have it though. I do think Guru should be higher. You might criticize his work with Solar, but he did a good job with the Jazzmatazz stuff and was half the reason Gang Starr was as dope as it was. Sure, everybody sounds better over Premo beats, but few could have gave Gang Starr what Guru gave it - a chill-laid back style, yet with witty and gritty punchlines intertwined with positivity. You can make a case against Black Thought not being as high as he is because he hasn't proved hisself as a solo artist, while Guru has. Also same goes for Posdnous. (Though didn't get me wrong here, I like each of there places on the list, just I'd say Guru is in that same realm). @NYi - I guess that's understandable. Everybody is going to have their bias towards certain artists. I don't see why record sales mean anything though, that can fall under popularity. Also, I don't see why Aceyalone is so high up if you are considering sales, popularity, impact on hip hop, and cultural impact. Chuck D should be higher than him. Don't get me wrong, I like Aceyalone a lot, but he is sort of lacking in those categories compared to a lot of the other rappers on this list. Chuck D might even be able to crack the top ten I think, PE fulfills all those things you listed very well.
