Don't you think that there should be a special place in Purgatory for people (especially those on T.V. and radio) who pronounce it "WimbleTON" ???

I used to be a USTA umpire. We could code out a player who mispronounced the honored places, the high places of tennis.

Also, what's with our American commentators who must talk nonstop, mostly nonsense? What's wrong with moments of silence?

Well, I don't know about purgatory since that's not my gig, however perhaps they should get some elocution lessons.

My British husband hated when I said it that way too.. I've learned.
