does anyone know if you can use milk instead of milk powder? the recipie calls for 2tbs of milk powder and I have just found I am out. If so how does the bread turn out and how to you covert it for the milk and not the powder?

If you are going to start your bread machine immediately, then yes, you can use liquid milk. Just back down on the water a tad.

If you are going to delay the start, dry milk is the safest. This is why the ingredients are layered the way they are, so the milk and yeast don't touch the water and get active then fizzle out once the machine comes on hours later.
