And, we'll all be happy over there. Amen.

The only rapture you'll be getting is a non-existent event from a false expectation. You and many others like you have been deceived by teachers of false end-time prophecy. Jesus Christ did not teach this to his disciples nor did His apostles teach this false event. Dispensationalism, which was perpetuated from a preacher in the 1830's named John Nelson Darby gave many a false hope of a false event from a false belief. This lie has since been perpetuated down through the years by the mainstream Protestant Churches. By misinterpreting passages of scripture by taking them out of context to justify their desperate belief that only the "True Christians" will be spared the wrath of God by "poofing" into heaven for a few years or so...... You have a rude awakening coming......You had better read this to understand the real truth behind this false hope..........http://www.ucg.org/reprints/pdf/Rapturereprint.pdf

I truly thought the rapture was going to happen since I was a senior in high school. I am still waiting. I decided not to spend the rest of my life waiting.
You should do some things trying to make heaven here on earth. This would be good for your soul.

I would be if I believed in the rapture.
I'm going to be with Jesus for eternity and I'm pretty excited about that; but the bible says Jesus will return after the Great Tribulation (Revelation 19) .
According to rapture theory, He comes back to collect His people before the Great Tribulation, then again afterwards to set up His kingdom.

I am ready for real things and for this imaginary one as well. Where in the Bible does it say anything about a rapture? You are likely to be bored if heaven did exist, and you may be thrown out soon for sinning. You are lucky that death is really final and you won't need to face some ignorant man's silly ideas about an afterlife.

The rapture is unscriptural. The word itself is man-made.
I am a Christian but my hope is to live here forever on earth.
Jesus said that the meek will inherit the earth and at Psalm 37:9-11 we are promised--" For evildoers themselves will be cut off, But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth. And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace."
No one is caught up alive into heaven. The Bible tells us at
1 Corinthians 15:50-52----"I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep (as most do in death), but we will all be changed— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed."
Notice it says that the dead will be raised, not the living. And since flesh & blood cannot go to heaven, that makes sense.
Those who are selected by God to rule as kings, priests and judges over the earth are relatively few in number when compared to the earth's population. Those of us who survive Armageddon will be blessed to finally live on earth under a righteous government that will never end.
Daniel 2:44--"In the time of those kings (human rulers, presidents, etc), the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms (human ruled governments) and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever.

AMEN!!! I wish sometimes that the rapture could happen while I'm still alive. But then I think of everyone I know that isn't saved and I think about what they are going to have to live in but I know that even if the rapture doesn't happen while we are alive then they are going to hell anyway. People always ask me if I'm afraid of the rapture and tribulation and my response always is "Why? I'm saved I have nothing to worry about, I'm going to be in heaven when all of this happens. But I am scared for my non-christian friends who will have to live through all of it."

The Puritans in the New World were ready, too. They believed the end days were upon them and the Kingdom would be in the New World. Christoper Columbus, likewise. He even had a date figured out - in the 1500's.
The apostles were waiting. See, they believe it would be in their lifetime that He would return.
How quickly two thousand years can pass.

You have been so morally right. I wish you luck with that. By the way you do know that in the bible it states that no man is exempt from pain and suffering. So much pain almost to the point of death. I hope you get what you wish for a slow and painful death as well.
