I REALLY want to start babysitting but the only problem is I don't know how to get my name out. Most of the people I know that have little kids live too far away from my house. I don't live in a neighborhood and the only houses around me all have grown kids. What should I do so I can earn some money this summer doing one of the things I love?

You can put your name in your local newspaper with a short write up of what you are looking for. Make sure that you meet up with the parents and kids a few times and get to know them before you start babysitting. Make sure that they are good people. Hi! I had that same problem. The best way is to print up some flyers, etc and ask as many local places as possible to hang them for you - daycares, YMCAs, school teacher boards, grocery stores, roller rinks, kids gyms, anywhere they have lessons - karate, ballet, etc - all those are great places. If you have time to volunteer somewhere that helps too...volunteer at your local YMCA or at a kids play center and get to know some moms. All moms have a network so once you get in with one word of mouth will go along ways! Good luck.

Make up some really nice ads on your computer.... State who you are, what you want to do, the ages of the kids you will watch, your qualifications, phone number..
Put these up at local grocery stores around you... take the babysitters course if you can, maybe some first aid also.. good luck!

Try putting a "Wanted" baby sitting job with picture up in the post office...lol...seriously the above suggestions are good, try some of those in ground signs along the nearest busy intersection...babay sitter avaialable with phone number.

Well when I was a kid to get my name out you can make flyers and post them at local places.You should includewhat you can do and a price or suggested price value and your phone number. Hope I could help

ask your neighbors that your parents know for referrals. Do not put up fliers at the grocery store or on a bulletin board there are too many sexual predators out there
