excessive(more than 5) will most likely nix your chances, as each misdemeanor requires a waiver. less than that will depend on the type of charges. one count of MJ possession, not a huge issue. two or three, however, or anything involving domestic violnece or DUI.. will be a harder sell.

I answered for two reasons. First, because of people like Hugh Jardon who write idiotic answers and fail to realize that he can shoot his mouth off only because military heroes gave him freedom to do so.
Secondly, regarding your question, talk to a recruiter and you'll know immediately. I have a son who had a number of problems, but got in and is now a Green Beret and doing super. Leading by example, I guess, I also had similar problems as a very young man but was allowed to enlist and retired as a Sergeant Major with 27 years service and over 40 decorations. The military gave me a chance and made a man out of me.
Again, talk to a recruiter. I found that many of my very good men had some past dark secrets but I trusted them with my life. Good luck!!!

None. Only federal offenses will disqualify you from being enlisted.

Who would want to enlist in the Army? Do you have a burning desire to be ground into dogmeat for George W. Bush's war? Screw the military, go to college instead.
