If i eat pine nuts, I taste and breathe turpentine for the next 2-3 days. The nuts are very high in turpenes which give pine trees their smell. Turpenes and metabolic by-products end up in the bloodstream, where they are slowly volatilized and exhaled by the lungs. This doesn't seem to happen to everyone. My wife thinks I am nuts (no pun intended)--she doesn't have this problem after eating pine nuts.

hey pups , i often get a funny after taste after eating nuts in general ( i haven't tryed pine nuts ) , nuts are quite oily and do have chemically taste if the oil content is strong , and also if the nut is from a plant that is strongly perfumed , someone mentioned sucking on a lemon , this is your best bet as the citric acid cuts through the oil ( just like the lemon washing up liquid lol ) , you could even try toasting the nuts a little to release some of the oil before you eat them, this might make the flavour more intense ( but not the after taste ) , xxxx

I am very sensitive to pine nuts, and I experienced headaches, digestive issues and etc.The taste in your mouth could be a sign your intolerant to them.Nuts are very diffcult to digest due to their enzyme inhibitors,a good practice is to always soak your nuts in water 24 hours in advance of eating them, this breaks down the enzymes and aids in the digestive process. You may find it solves your problem entirely.

Try sucking on a lemon, the acid pretty much kills anything else that might be going on in your mouth.
I really hate pine nuts too, think they taste gross and oily.
