I just read this answer on another question: God created life, therefore, God has the right to take it. If you create a work of art, you have the right to destroy it any time you wish - even if it is regarded as the Mona Lisa.

Isn't that a pro abortion and post birth abortion stance? As a parent according to this idea (and the bible) I should be able to take my childs life since I created it.

The justifications are sometimes astonishing.

Firstly, WE ARE NOT the creators of life- if we are carrying a life inside our wombs, it's because of God's divine will for us to take care of that life. You might argue with me (and others who share the same position) that the reason why we are carrying human beings in our wombs is because we made sex with others. Partially, that is true- but that is part of God's overall design for us to pro-create and multiply. BUT it is God Himself who breathes life into us.

There are other couples who cannot have babies- and medically speaking, there is nothing wrong with them. How are you going to explain this?...And there are some couples who regard it as a miracle after having babies for more than 10 years.

We are made to please and worship our Creator (God). He is the Alpha and the Omega, The Beginning and the End- The Author and Finisher of life. We don't take life into our hands but rather offer it up to Him.

Should anyone die today it's because it's his time already- and if he did loved and served God while he was still living in this world, his life was surely not put in vain- his body may die but his spirit is alive in heaven.

Even still you gave birth but you are not the "creator" of your child's life, your child is a child of God 1st and foremost before it is "your child", God gave you a child and blessed your womb so that you could receive that blessing and it is not for you to take away. But yes, God has the right to give and take away, to build up or tear down as he sees fit.

Well, you're contradicting yourself. If you say God gave you life, thus has the right to take it away, then how can WE create life if God does?

In that sense, we don't create life, instead God creates life, and HE has the right to take it away, not us.

According to many Christians, we can only take a life in war.

For instance, God told President Bush to invade Iraq, making it okay to kill thousands of Iraqi men, women, and children.

Sure some of the women were pregnant so we are also killing a fetus, but it is okay is this instance. Unlike destroying a fetus to save a woman's life...which is wrong.

All life is created by God not man. We do not create babies we may conceive them. No man has created life.

that's a pro life stance. the parent didn't give the kid life, the parent gave the kid a body. but the body is the kid's property. like a gift (you had no choice whether it's a gift or a loan)

Unless you believe that God created your child's life, just as he created your life. Therefore you didn't give your child life.

Everyone dies. It's fact.

God created you & me, so He has the right to decide when it's our time to go.

Humans do not have the right to decide when it's there time to go, such as through abortion, murder, or suicide.

No you shouldn't kill your child. its their life not yours. God has the right because God made people there for if there were'nt people your child wouldn't belong to you.
