Your point being???

Oh, is this about the 6,000 year thing?
Well the way I see it, the Bible doesn't say that the Earth is only 6k yrs old, just that humans have been here that long. Genesis tells us that God created the Earth "in the beginning". The 6 day period that follows (which is not 2 b taken as a literal 144 hours) is the time that He spent preparing the Earth for human habitation.

In short, I'm sure the Earth is about 4.5 billion years old.
I'm also sure that humanity is only about 6,000 years old.
Why must people make it so difficult for science and religion to coexist when it's obvious that the two complement each other so well???

Time is a relative commdity, at the start of creation many things were moving close to light speed and slowed with time, as such TIME DILATION, as postulated by Einstein and documented by twin atomic clocks proves.

This process, by the way, seems to also affect atomic decay, such as those used in CArbon 14 dating.

So, the true age of the Earth could be anywhere from 10 billon to considerably less, based on time dilation, since we don't have a relativistic frame of refrence, we can never be sure of anything when it comes to speed, direction and time.

Yes and isn't that humbling? I believe the Earth itself has a life force. All that live on it are like ticks on a dog.
