Go to the pool, the beach, get together with friends, have parties, anything that doesn't use a lot of money and so you will keep your friendships strong over the summer. Enjoy those school-free months!

Well this summer I'm going to Cape Cod with my friend, New Jersey and New Hampshire with another friend, Maine, Canobie Lake Park, and I'm going to a drama day camp. Try camps. Also during summer my town has a lot of carnivals, and those are always fun. Check out the YMCA or the library. Have sleepovers and hang out with your friends. Watch movies or read. Go swimming and get active. Summer is a great time for activities. Have a great summer!

How about checking into a few good reads? Most local libraries have summer reading programs complete with rewards! Ours gives certificates for Dairy Queen, McDonalds, there are book covers, book markers, and many other cool prizes.
Many municipal parks have acitivies, also. One near me has one about personal safety for children, one on archeology, there is the pool, there is a bicycle safety program. All of these are either free or for a nominal fee.
One summer my kids started each day by looking in a dictionary and finding a word they had never heard of. They learned what part of speech it was and what the most popular meaning was. Then at supper we played Dictionary Fictionary. Each child told us the word, spelled it and told what part of speech it was. Daddy and I had to guess what it meant as did the other two children. Then the child with the word told the true meaning. Boy did we all increase our vocabulary that summer!!
You might also buy a harmonica and teach yourself to play. I did that two summers ago. Now I jam with others two nights a week. It really is a lot of fun, get a Honer in the key of C, they are under $10 and you can carry one in your pocket.
Have a great vacation!!

well you could hang out with friends, get a summer job, Volunteer at the animal shelter, or to help with day camps most communities have them for the kids. You could also volunteer at the nursing home. with their adopt a grandparent program.
Try a new activity that you are interest in. Mountain climbing, hiking, snorkeling, summer sports such as baseball softball volleyball.
What ever you do, just don't waste it sitting in front of the dummy box get out there and live. experience what life has to offer you would be surprised what you find out about your self.

Make a BIG PARTY right when the school finished.
Then spend your summer chilling near the sea/lake/river/whatever.
You can also spend some time in some place new, where you can meet new people!
Pimp s out!

Get a job doing something you think you'd love to do...I worked as a dog washer for a groomer one summer! It was a blast, but I love dogs, so it worked. Earn some cash and have some fun. I loved it.

Just enjoy it!! Once you start working you'll wish you appreciated summer vacations! I know I feel that! Go swimming, go for a picnic, go for a hike in the woods, take a nap in a hammock, visit a friend you haven't seen in a while, take a bikeride, go camping, etc.

Volunteer. Get involved in helping others. You will grow intellectually, emotionally and spiritually from volunteering to help those less fortunate than yourself or helping senior citizens. Give it a try.
