Margaret Thatcher was a woman who knew what was going on. Yes, she definitely would have sent troops into Iraq because she could see the benefits of doing so. She was not a bleeding heart liberal coward like Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid

MT was a great proponent of the special relationship between US and UK. She undoubtedly would have gone full pelt into was with Iraq and quite probably a lot of other nations besides if they acted in the UK's worst interests.

She didn't pause for thought when she sent the military off to defend the Falklands nor did she baulk at sending the Police in against the miners. Therefore there is no reason to believe that she wouldn't have been leading from the front in taking our troops into Iraq or anywhere else.

Yes, you would have seen British Challenger tanks instead of American Abrams tanks rolling into Baghdad and she would have also crushed the Fedayeen to the ground and not let it fester into the insurgency the Americans are dealing with. Hell, probably Prince Richard would've been on the lead tank too.

They didn't call Thacher "The Iron Lady" for nothing.

I really don't know. She was right to go to war over the Falklands, but I think that the horror of war and British luck, may well have reserved her readiness to support Bush. Times have clearly changed since then, but I suspect, she probably would have - but I don't know.

No
she would not be in Bushes pocket. As the lady could think for herself and see the iraq issues for the scam that it is.
Totally needless waste of life to line the pockets of the U.S.A.God bless our armed forces there and keep them safe and bring them home.

Don't wonder any more, is she had been in power, we would have been there before the yanks.

Particularly if there has been a General Election due, as she did in 1982.

Yeps, she would have done. maybe have brought back national service too so she could send all the working class peeps out there too. Easy way for her to get rid of them once and for all after skinting them with her poll tax.
