Anyone else notice how a portion Protestant Evangelicalism attacks the Catholic priesthood yet Evangelicals are turning ministry or "shepherding" into a family business which take in vast amounts of money? Does it only go into literature and TV broadcasting fees? How many hospitals have these men built? How many orphanages? How many soup kitchens?
examples the Olsteins, Haggees, Grahams, Roberts, Schullers etc etc.. can anyone provide fiancial statements for these family run churches/ministries.

Brian in a world of 6+ billion you give me one orphanage? come on mate you know what I'm getting at. There isn't a much emphasis on social responsibility when compared to Catholic theology and practice. Much of Protestant Evangelicalism operates like a mission for conversion yet are not liturgical Churches. Once conversion is complete they move on and spread more literature not worship or food, or clothes or health care. It's only very recently that there has been an acceptance of grace in action by some of this community and you know it. Also rapture theology which is the new kid on the block don't help to nurture our need to help others as it sponsors a lack of social responsibility

You are absolutely correct.
Jed, if you look at the Board of Directors of these churches, you will notice that they are all related to or have financial ties to the pastor.

I will not speak for the list you put forth, for I do not know them.
All the Protestant ministers that I know are paid a minimum salary which is well below their worth. Those that are Protestants that take the Great Commission seriously, put much of their resources into the furthering of the gospel. You may remember the command to go into all the world and preach the gospel.
Even with that I will say that many Protestants do give to the poor, and to education. Yes with the opening of orphanages, hospitals, soup kitchens and the like. Here is a new orphanage in Burma:

I saw an episode on 20/20 or Dateline or some show with Diane Sawyers that did a report on this very thing. The focus was on Christian ministers that were scamming people. It showed an extensive list of prominent Evangelical pastors living in multi-million dollar homes, flying in private jets, enjoying lavish vacations and so forth, on money that was supposed to be used for charity. When put under scrutiny, many of them promptly called it attacks from Satan.
What I found most interesting and am actually proud of is that of 10 or 20 Christian pastors shown, not one of them was a Catholic priest, minister, or clergy of any kind.

No but some have gotten into trouble from time to time. Schuller's organization had to pay back taxes and fines over commercial public events at the Cathedral that had nothing to do with religion.
But if memory also serves me correctly he started his ministry in an old, closed down Drive in Movie theater.
I've watch neighborhood churchs without TV grow to oustanding proportioins. Grace Community Church in Sunvalley owns, I believe, 4 or 5 parcels of land just for church PARKING.

I've never found agroup that has no skeletons in its closet. Groups that expend most of their energy and resources attacking those that are different from them, like Prot.Funda., seem to run more on hate than the light of the Gospel. Actually, I do not find the Grahams and R Schuller to be anti Catholic or sheep-stealing like so many of the others on the air.

The answer is yes, it does make sense. Many Bible Christians will give you verses from the Bible, taken out of context, to prove that Catholics are wrong. But the Catholic Church has successfully shown, for over 2000 years that everything she does is biblically sound and Christ centered.
Check out Scott Hahn. He was an Evangelical Presbyterian Minister...he was sure all Catholics were going to hell and he was out to save them. In doing so...the more he studied and read books trying to prove them wrong, the more he realized how right they are. He is now Catholic and goes around teaching and preaching the Catholic faith. He's amazing to listen to because he knows all verses Protestants will use and can address and disprove every one of them.

Yes, I've noticed that. I'm an atheist...and even I contemplate going into preaching. Talking about easy money!

I wouldn't call it family run businesses.
Ministry can run along family lines, but if it does, doesn't mean necessarily there's something crooked.
But some are.
Some do attack other parts of God's church, some of us know better.
