Is it because the US soldiers just bomb away being to inept or cowardly to fight on the ground, hence the tremendous number of civilian dead? Is it because the US leaders are too busy stealing taxes via the "rebuilding" of Iraq and fighting the "war on terror" to have a good strategy?

Excuse me? Are you calling our soldiers inept and cowardly? What a bunch of crap!! Its not the soldiers who arent doing the right thing-its the people at home who say yeah go to war
!!!! then say omg some people are dying we better stop this. You people need to make up your minds - when the President said it would be hard and long he meant it and it is a hard war and a long one just as he said it would be.
Americans are turning wimpy - as soon as someone gets hurt we want to run away. Well thats why we lose wars.

Hrm. No. US Soldiers are some of the best in the world. Without them you'd be speaking German and goose-stepping. It's sad how the world forgets that little fact, or how other nations minimize it.
The reason the US cannot win a war, is nothing other than politics. If martial law were declared in this country, and the politicians shut UP PERMANENTLY, the work would get done. But, because this is War by Committee, NOTHING gets done. The soldiers die, the civilians die, the politicians invested in the economics of the war get richer.

The US Military is the most powerful military on earth. The troops have won every major battle in Iraq, mostly on the ground. If we fail to win the peace in Iraq it will be because of the politicians in Washington screwed it up too much. If our leaders were as good at foreign relations as the troops are in battle everyone would be our friend or at least neutral.

You don't know very much about wars and history it seems. Civilian causalities are very low for a war that has gone on for this long. You talk about cowards but it is not the US soldier who hides behind and straps bombs to it's wives and kids. I can agree that there is some crooks in politics and that that hurts our troops efforts but the crooks are from both sides of the isle. The US can win

Are u nuts?? The USA has one of the most powerful military forces in the WORLD!! (why are we in Iraq?? because we were asked to help!!) I HATE the war, and always will, but I am SO thankful to our soldiers who fight to keep us safe, sounds like you need a history lesson, or need to move to another country where you can see a truly inept Army!!
My father faught, brother died, and I have some really greusome pics from WW2 from our MEN fighting on the GROUND!!!!!!!!!!
This is not "our" war to win, we are trying to help another country become "free"...people like you remind me of toilet paper, something to wipe my butt on and toss away!

Somewhat agree, we've lost a few thousand soldiers in this war. We've also killed over 200,000 Iraqi civilians --------- very sad!! Some of those deserved to die but there's others that didn't. I guess it just goes hand and hand with war.
It's time to get out of there. There's been more than enough deaths already.

The Iraqi military was crushed in a month? What are you talking about? We are currently engaged with insurgents in a policing action while the new Iraqi government trains it's army and police. The war was won in 6 weeks. The US troops cowardly? You need to get a clue.

Poor planning. When you go and attack someone you have to make sure that you have a very good plan.

Why do you hate our fine military? Did you try to enlist but were rejected? You know the military still has strict policies against recruiting little hand wringing liberal mommas boys, nose pickers, bed wetters and those with gender identity issues. Which one kept you out?
