Yes we are in the end times. Scriptures from Revelation are being fulfilled all the time. Everything that it says will happen is happening. He said that these will be the signs of the end times.
consider these things:
The crumbling of the Eastern Bloc of Europe and the Communist Empire.
The unprecedented vote by the Soviet communist party to relinquish its absolute hold on power for the first time since it seized power 70 years ago.
The opening of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of a divided Germany.
Events transpiring in the Middle East.
The failing ecosystem of Planet Earth.
Changing weather patterns worldwide.
The breathtaking pace of technological advancements.
The collapse of ethical and moral values.
The weakening influence of our churches and their leaders
The list below are visible signs that Jesus talked about as near to the end of times:
Deliberate deception by men of God's Word
Rise of false Christs
Increase in wars and rumors of wars
Famines, Pestilence & Earthquakes
Discrimination and hatred against Christians
Backsliding, turning from the faith, betrayal
Hatred of Christian against Christian
False Prophets and "New Age" leaders
Lawlessness abounding
Love and concern for others grows cold
Gospel preached worldwide
Whether we want to admit it or not, we are coming close to the end of days. God bless.

Some people say this is just coincidence--just because there is violence and war doesn't mean that biblical prophecies about the end times are coming true.
However, when you take in to consideration all the things that are happening together, it is hard to dismiss that these things really do seem to fit the apocalyptic picture of what will happen before the Second Coming.
Besides the War on Terror and Iraq War, there have been more military conflicts throughout the world in the past century or so than there ever have been in the history of the world. Many of them don't receive media attention here and so we are not fully aware of them. But there are all kinds of wars going on in Africa, Southeast Asia, some parts of Eastern Europe, besides the ones we are aware of in the Middle East and elsewhere. And where there are not wars, there are rumors of wars. Increased conflict in the Middle East looks inevitable.
The number of deadly diseases in the world is getting out of hand. Sure--modern medicine has helped keep some terrible illnesses under control--polio, smallpox, malaria, etc. But these things are almost meaningless compared to the ravages of AIDS and the threat of bird flu, etc. Most of us don't realize just how many people die in Africa and elsewhere from AIDS. Many other diseases, including Malaria, continue to plague many parts of the world.
The whole issue of global warming, or climate change, can be seen as a sign of End Times. Besides extreme weather, the number of earthquakes and volcanoes worldwide has been increasing quite steadily over the past century.
All this worldwide commotion seems to be building and building towards some kind of climax--which I believe will be the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Either that or it will be the end of the world and we will all die anyways. I prefer to believe that Jesus will come and save the world from total destruction. But its hard to deny the signs.

Hi Your question is age old and with it comes when? The Bible tells us only the Father (GOD) knows the hour, not even Jesus knows. If you go back in history every era has said it is the end times, the apostles thought they were in them and Jesus would bring his kingdom then, yes GOD has his plan and his word tells us to be dilligent, watch, pray and know the signs, Matthew gives a pretty good description. Jack VanImpe does a real good job putting things together so we better understand just what is going on, and he does it according to the scriptures, but much of it is open to interpertation. Billy Graham is the Evangelist of the century, he tells us how to live our lives according to the scriptures, he makes no exceptions, He also tells us not to worry about all that is going on because if you are right with GOD you have nothing to fear, we all are destined to be back with the Father and JESUS made that possible by his Death on the Cross. He died for us sinners so we could have eternal life and that not even one of his should be lost. That is powerful and all you have to do is BELIEVE AND REPENT and live a good life and pass on the good news. So do not linger on all the negative thoughts that take the joy out of living today, Jesus wants us to have life and abundant life, your real answer is in the scriptures. I understand your concern, I have them too. I hope this helps you Just a friend Ellie

I have a lot o f christian friends that think so.
Particularly i don't. There are a lot of signs and bad stuff going on. But i think we still have some time. In my opinion things can get a lot worse. Think about it, in the middle ages the plage killed 1/4 of the population in Europe, people back then must've thought the world was gonna end for sure. Even the apostle Paul states clearly in some of his letters that he though the end times were near.
There is no way of knowing for sure, but if were goint to base assuptions on disasters and signs, i'd guess we still have some time...

Looking at the conditions of the world now there are many signs indicating that we are in the end-time. The more important thing is how are we prepared to meet Jesus when He comes and will He say to us "Well done, good and faithful servant." We need do all that is required with the help of the Holy Spirit to become sons of God manifesting the gifts and the fruit of the Spirit, being Christ-like in every way and building treasures in heaven.

The Christian do not worry or look forward to the end times. They are always ready. It is the people of the world that worries.Today is another day of grace, tomorrow , who knows. Although there is sign prediicted by the Bible [ for the bible is a book of prophecy , if you wish to consider] no one knows except God almighty.Yes it is getting worse for it is the time of separation. If you believe in the end of time, then women, you have HOPE.

We are in the end times and have been since the resurrection of Christ. That's been nearly two thousand years, but that's a blink of an eye to God.
If you have read any of the later works of John, which include the Revelation, you will see references to the end times. Most early Christians believed they were living in the end times.
I can only hope Jesus could come in the next few years, and Christians should be prepared for Him to come this day. But we should also be prepared for the possibility that He will not come in our lifetime.
Good question, and one I have asked too.

The countdown started two thousand years ago. We've been in the "end times" since Jesus ascended. However, I don't think we're THAT close yet. There are too many things that have to happen first.
Reread Revelations, and ask the Holy Spirit for guidance. I did sometime ago, and I saw that the end times are still quite far in the future.

It will only be the end-times if the Christians succeed in making them so. I find this morbid obsession with the end of this world and the so-wonderful afterlife to be disturbing. It focuses peoples attention on their supposed next life in paradise, rather than trying to make this world a better place for themselves, and their children. To paraphrase, the attitude of "It doesn't matter about this world as it's only temporary" is destructive in nature, both morally and physically.
Look around you, there is beauty in the world everywhere you look. Now go out, and work to change your world for the better, only slightly. If everyone does this, then the world will get better and maybe the selfish and destructive terrorist acts can be stopped. Idealistic, I know - but it may just work. Why not give it a try?
[EDIT]
It's interesting that this has been given thumbs-down marks. Is a positive message to look after this world not in keeping with the destructive outlook fostered by end-timers? My point is proven I think. Look to this world, then you'll earn your place in the next.
