I have incredibly frizzy hair, so if I need a stylish hair style quick I wash my hair about 3 hours b4! Put on shampoo, conditioner. Then Put curling conditioner. Wrap your hair in a towel so it doesn't get frizzy quickly. Then after 15 minutes take it off and part your hair. The left side should have more. Then you puff up the left side. Tada you have a stylish frizz! Your hair will frizzy so keep some detangling spray in your purse.
If frizz doesn't work for you do your hair the same day, but in the morning. If you have knappy hair make a tight bun with hairspray. If you have short ahir wrap some extentions too. If you have long hair it shouldn't be a problem!

Up does are also popular. I believe the wash day b4 is best for frizz. relief. Perhaps night b4, slept on and styled the day of the prom. Have a lovely time. Get some good hairspray. The Hillary Duff one is very pretty. Do some tests this week to check it out. Good luck!
* I watched on of my soaps 2 day, One Life to Live. They have this prom/High School Musical thing goin on. Anyway the hairdo was the partial updo like your pic, long front curly trails, a flashy barette and lots of tight curls wide ones in the back. It's stiil hard to beat a classic updo. Rent Princess DIaries one and two and see Anne Hathaways hairdo's. I love trend setters not followers. Take some pics and make up test too. Have fun!

That's very pretty, not too much of an updo. They look silly to me. Anyway, I've heard to not wash it the day of also. I guess it depends on if your hair gets oily quickly or not.
A trial run would be best if you can afford it. Some hairdressers will do the trial for free or discounted.

Freshly-washed hair is harder to style in an up-style and you really should wash your hair the day before prom.

firstly i think the hairstyle you have chosen is beautiful. I had mine like that last year and it looked really nice.
Id suggest that you wash your hair on the morning of your prom, then when it comes to the afternoon or evening when you get your hair done, then the style will hold in because your hair doesnt have much grease in it weighing it down.
Have a great time x

I think as long as you use hairspray on the style, it should stay in, wether you wash it the day before, or on the day, Happy Prom, my Daughter has one on Friday.

I have pretty long hair, I like them but I actually think I would have them reduce short in about some two many years
