You somewhat answered it when you said "These are BELIEFS." Beliefs are very powerful. Changing a belief is tough, people kill and die for them. I don't agree with that kind of thing, but many out there do. I prefer to keep an open mind and welcome all ideas, even if I have my doubts about them ahead of time. Maybe they'll strengthen the ideas I already have. When you start getting into the pushing of religion into politics and schools, etc. is usually when I enter the argument. However, my standing up against those things shouldn't be confused as bashing religions.

If someone believes in a particilar religion, then they cannot believe in another religion as they contradict each other. I believe religions were started by man based on folklore passed down over time. Different countries based their religious beliefs on their own particular folklore, which explains why there are all different. Religions such as Buddhism & Hinduism (sp?) have as much merit and foundation as does Christianity, though if their beliefs were correct, then Christianity cannot be true.
So it's human nature, as it relates to beiliefs, that to believe in one, you cannot believe another to be correct. To accept that another religion is true means you must doubt your own, and that creates a contridiction.

All of it is only beliefs, believing in God, or believing He doesn't exist, believing in creation, or believing on evolution.. it is ALL beliefs, and we are all entitled to our own beliefs, up to the point that we try to force those beliefs on others.
However, there is a big difference in forcing conversion on someone and telling someone about God, it is sharing our experiences about what He has done for us etc.. and atheists do the exact same thing but will deny it with their dieing breath.

I think that the people who can't accept other types of religion are the people who are terrified that their own religion may be wrong for them, so they validate their own illogical beliefs by trying to make as many people agree with them. Strength in numbers and such.

I do believe my religion is the right one. Just maybe not for everyone. If someone doesn't believe in my God or religion then OK. But for me my religion is the right one.

We have Facts, but unless you are chosen by God, You are blinded from the Truth. The Holy Spirit reveals all that is true, but unless you KNOW Him, what you think you know, means nothing. We have no religion, We have JESUS! And as for your avatar name, you have NO power to destroy me!

Exactly.
People have to force their beliefs on others so that it reinforces their own beliefs.
Why do we have to believe in anything?
