It's my birthday... I live in Connecticut and it's a beautiful sunny day. I have the day off from work and no specific plans (until my husband and teenage children come home at dinnertime)... I want to celebrate in a very special, meaningful and spiritual way, but I'm at a loss on how to make the most it! Any suggestions? Thanks so much. Peace!

Geocaching.

That way you get out of the house and walk around. It's a hobby that kids and adults seem to enjoy. Pick one that takes you out into one of the area parks and requires a bit of a hike. It's like a walk combined with a treasure hunt.

Why not buy a bunch of balloons and a birthday cake, and go share your birthday with people who would really appreciate something cheerful and fun -- like folks at an assisted living residence or nursing home, for example?

Happy Birthday!

It was my birthday Tuesday. Big 50.
I went trout fishing which I hadn't done in years.
It was a great way to relax and reflect.
I know this probably isn't for you but pick out something that you love to do and haven't been able to in awhile and just do it.

Happy Birthday

Oh I was going to say I'd take myself off to a spa and get pampered, then have a nice lunch in my favourite restaurant. Obviously that is not very spiritual though is it lol.....maybe just go and pray at your church, it's not what I would do, but that's about as spiritual as I can think of.

How about some special pampering? Some special things I have done by myself as a treat:
A day at the local wildlife park
A massage and pedicure at a spa
An afternoon sailing cruise on the bay

Happy birthday!!!

I go to a nursing home to visit my dad. Nothing makes me feel younger and happier than making someone old and crippled smile by bringing by my little poodle that they can love on.

It also gives me a fresh appreciation for my health.

Spend it doing some of your favorite things.....(hobbies), or just relax......I personally plan to jump out of a perfectly good airplane next year on my 50th B-day.
