I wouldnt advise it - better to be too smart than appear scruffy or casual. Tie is the convention and they wont think that you are odd for wearing one for the interview even if everyone else in teh company doesnt

It really depends on the job... but for any kind of office related fields, you should wear a gray or navy suit with a tie. It doesn't hurt to wear a suit. Better to be over dressed than under dressed for an interview.

Since you took the trouble to wear a suit, why not include the tie. You will create a better impression with the interviewer.

If you've seen others at this company wear the same thing.. then maybe. But, as a general rule, I'd say no. First impressions are so important. I think not wearing a tie would raise question. I'd wait until you're established with a place before I'd try it. Good Luck.

I think if you're going to the trouble of wearing a suit, the lack of a tie would stand out like a sore thumb. I think you should wear a tie.
Good luck with the interview - I've got one later today, horrid aren't they.

Acceptable maybe- depending on the job.
Advisable- don't think so.
If you're going to wear a suit, why not a tie?

Personally I have no time for the worlds most impractical garment.
Persoanlly I would want them to just be smart casual for the second interview but dress how they would go out at night to see what their personality is.
However Im not the interviewrs who are into superficial tripe and have no idea how to do a good interview.
So go for the tie but dep on job if more creative maybe not

it could be if it was in a fashionable sector of the jobs market;the insistence on the wholly impractical suit and tie arrangement is one of the many flaws in our business arrangements
