To combat the problem, NASA scientists spent a decade and $1.3 trillion to develop a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside down, underwater, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to 300 C. They always like a hefty price. It makes them feel superior. Americans are all about the dollar! Too much money and not enough brain cells. Apologies to all the sensible Americans - I know there are plenty of you realy.

I've heard the joke before...but to add more sense to the joke, the US military only accepts writing in blue or black ink. :P
