i want to do it. its quite a small fracture.

You don't say what rank you are testing for or if there will be any contact involved or how old you are but if you were my student I would not expect or even let you test. Even small fractures can cause trouble down the road if they do not heal properly-especially if you are still growing. I doubt your doctor would approve of it either. Do the smart thing, give it a chance to heal properly and test next time. Talk to your instructor and perhaps he can make allowances for you and schedule a special testing once it is healed if your school only tests certain times of the year.

I did the stupid thing & sparred with very very slight hairline fractures years ago, somewhat regularly. I'm paying for it now - ligamints, joints, tendons -- they just don't hold up like they should & I'm only 30, but my body is acting like its 60. So just have to weigh what is important to you & if its worth it.
