Don't expect to find yours done for you, most need to research and build their own.

I'm guessing that you are wanting to confirm or disprove the claim that Reese Witherspoon is a direct descendant of one of the signers of the United States Declaration of Independence, John Witherspoon (b. 1723 in Gifford, East Lothian, Scotland, and d. 1794 in Princeton, New Jersey). Among other achievements, this Presbyterian theologian was the sixth president of Princeton University.

I tried looking up a possible relationship on Ancestry.com, tracing backwards from John Witherspoon, himself, and could only trace a male descendant as far as Frances (b. 1807 in Wilson County, Tennessee, d. 1860 in Ellis County, Texas). Most of the Witherspoon family trees were private, however, so someone else may be able to pick up on the trail. In his portrait in the National Portrait Gallery, the Reverend Witherspoon looks like he is wearing a powdered wig, so I couldn't decide if he was legally blond. If Reese is his descendant, the family's looks have improved considerably, although she did drop out of Stanford University, but then so did Tiger Woods.

According to Wikipedia, Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon (b. in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1976) is the daughter of John Witherspoon and Betty Reese. She married Ryan Phillippe in 1999 and has two children, Ava Elizabeth (b. 1999) and Deacon (b. 2006). Reese and Phillippe are separated.
