There are no laws about it but there is a Code of Practise that would be used against you in the event of prosecution/legal action.

My advice is if you have to ask this question get a CORGI registered installer to do the work.

If you are going to use copper pipe in screed then the pipes will have to be laid in an accessable channel with a screw on top that finishes level with the concrete screed. You can get advice from CORGI on this. Any gas work must be done by a suitably qualified engineer. Iron pipe must be protected as cement attacks steel !!

Don't use copper...use black iron pipe.
