Did you ask your doctor before dropping back to 25mg? It seems like a small dose - I've been taking it since last September and started on 50mg and went up to 100mg. Saw my doctor today as I am feeling much better and he said for it to be effective long term I should keep taking it for 2 years. I am on it for depression, so maybe it's not the right drug for you?? I used to suffer from anxiety, but that is much better now as well. NB The label on my pack says "DO NOT STOP TAKING THIS MEDICATION WITHOUT CONSULTING YOUR DOCTOR

zoloft is an anti-psychotic yeah? From memory, some meds can take a few weeks to kick in, esp. anti-depressants.Ask the doc if they are side affects of the meds. Don't stop the meds, but ask your doctor and see what other options you have. Lots of mentally ill patients refuse meds because of their strong side affects, tell your doc that you may want to try other ways to manage your condition, see what he says.

Medications are typically prescribed for panic disorders, and one of the best medications is Zoloft. The bond between Zoloft and panic attack is very well known , as Zoloft and panic attack has tested to be very effective .
The drug Zoloft is one of the newer anti depressants on the market nowadays, it's FDA approved, administered orally and contains sertraline hydrochloride. This medication is known to manage depression, certain types of social anxiety conditions, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). In addition, Zoloft is not addictive and is not linked with weight gain.
The intent for Zoloft and panic attack is that the drug aims to alleviate the symptoms of clinical depression without many side effects. It's used to handle symptoms of depression and also anxiety, and Zoloft works by acting on the neurotransmitter called serotonin, thereby permitting electrical messages to be processed more smoothly and efficiently .

The right person to talk these things over is your health professional (doctor) who prescribed the medication. He may modify the dosage or add some other medicine to help you.

If you can't discuss these issues with him/her, a good place to look is www.webmd.com and www.about.com

There could be other good sites too.

If you decide to stop the medicne, you may need help from the alternative medicine stream. Look in the net and try to find help. Bach Flowers will be a good place to look.

It usualyl takes 4 weeks to see an improvement on meds. But if it is that terrible for you.
Never stop psych meds without your doctors help. Tell she or he that you want to try a different medication. You have that right.

i was on zoloft for a while, it was much more tolerable than the other anti-depressants i've been prescribed in my life...if you have only been on it for two weeks, you havn't given it enough time for your body to get used to it...so you are not feeling the full effects. if you feel like it is causing negative reactions now...you might want to consult with your doctor about trying a medication that is more for anxiety problems, rather than depression...klonopin (clonazepam) helped me with my panic attacks and anxiety very nicely. good luck...

you may have an incredible sort of element outcomes while there's a unpredicted drop on your drugs. For me, as quickly as i ended my meds (without my well-being care provider's permission) i grew to become into extremely dizzy for greater or less 3 days. you would be able to understand some nervousness organising to creep returned and different feeling of melancholy. i could call your scientific expert and enable her be responsive to that think ofyou've have been given missed some doses, she would want ot carry a distinctive eye on you to make specific you does no longer have an extreme relapse of indicators.

As a one-time Zoloft user, I suggest you talk much further with your doctor about your situation. He might recommend you try PaxilCR instead.

you should only go off with the assistance of a doctor...you are messing with a medication that is changing the chemistry in your brain and if you are not careful it will cause more problems than you can imagine...and they could be long term...see your doc...tell him/her of the problems and go from there...please don't do this on your own

To stop Zoloft cold turkey is dangerous. I suggest you return to your doctor and talk to him. There may be another drug that suits you better.
