Is it "normal" for a 27 year old guy to be really really untidy??
Like, clothes all over the floor, gross kitchen (even more gross bathroom!!)....wearing boxers more than once before washing....wearing unironed and smelly clothes.....
Is this just "a guy thing"?
Will it change with age or is it never gonna happen!? ;-)

It is possible for him to change but he have to consciously want to change, especially as he is already an adult.
Please note however, that the scenario you have described is one of a very untidy person and probably a very lazy person so you are talking about a lifestyle change.

It's not a guy thing. Some people just don't care for cleanliness. I'm a guy but I change underwear daily, keep my room neat, don't wear unironed clothes except when working on my cars because they are going to get messy anyway after I finish. Pity the woman who will be this guy's wife.

Chances are this guy had a mother who cleaned up after him and hasn't a clue what to do now! There's a difference between "clutter" and "filth". Clutter may be the by-product of a busy, even creative person but filth might be something that this person just doesn't care about! Personally, clutter can be overcome, filth can be a real problem!
I don't believe guys are any different from girls when it comes to this. It's the individual. Good Luck!!! (Don't ever expect a person to change! What you see is what you get!)

It has nothing to do with age or gender. Some people just have no sense of self worth when it comes to cleanliness. Sometimes it is a learned behavior. That person will not change unless they choose to do so.

Most likely it will never change. If he is a tidy person it would have manifested.
