My hair is naturally dark brown, and I want to dye it a golden/honey-ish color. But she won't let me dye my hair until I'm SEVENTEEN! That's a long way off...
What should I do?

One way is to show her that you are a reasonable, responsible individual. Do your homework, get good grades, do your chores - and then some, be respectful, etc.

Aw thats a same since you say its a long way off i doubt you can do much your still considered a child maybe you can request some lighter highlights for your birthday and start it that way or try to make a deal with her like half an hour extra studies every week on math if she lets you dye it try not to push her too much some parents like to be assertive and don't like to feel pushed

You could try convincing her to let you get highlights. This is less drastic than coloring your hair, but it's also a drastic change.

in a way i kind of respect her for that. starting early with dying hair is unhealthy right now. what about hilights for a start? since u have naturally dark brown, put caramel hilights or blonde in it. that will be a better start for now, really.

i think i will go ahead. but gives her something in return. it may not be physically. u can give it to her mentally. depending on what she really needs. after doing it, convince her that it is bad to dye it back to its natural colour.
i just commemting. if it will really hurt your mum by dying your hair. den wait till you are 17. time past very quickly.
