Someone blathering about their personal feelings. Often about "supernatural" mush that influences their emotions. Varies by person, culture, government, and sex/age.

Leads to group-think and the notion that an invisible man looks over your underpants.

Also a way to:

Postpone fear of death
Deny science
Feel like part of the "in" crowd
Burn people who disagree with you
Pretend to be patriotic

Sorry if this sounds harsh; I've been dealing with a lot of religious fundamentalism lately, especially against separation of church/state and the sciences.

God can't be defined by man. I can tell you that He is love, kindness, forgiving, Omnipotent, omnipresent, He is the same yesterday, today and forever. That is just a small hint of what God is and what he can do. But that does not define Him.

For most of us, God is defined by our chosen religion. For agnostics (like me) and atheists, God's existence is doubtful or ruled out.

Most of the world belongs to one of the Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam). For Judaism and Islam, God appears to be like a strong and strict father. He wants you to do the right things and will punish you for your wrongs. For Christians, God appears to be a gentle, kind-hearted father who wants nothing more than to forgive you for your mistakes and encourage you to try harder next time.

No matter which of these 3 religions you're talking about, God is the Creator and the Final Judge -- The Omniscient and Omnipotent and Omnipresent Supreme Being.

For me, the only God that makes sense is one who is indifferent about his creation. In the words of Albert Einstein:

"My religiosity consists in a humble admiration of the infinitely superior spirit that reveals itself in the little that we, with our weak and transitory understanding, can comprehend of reality. Morality is of the highest importance - but for us, not for God."

Define Man first if you can............ then I'll define God

why should I go too far....... Define yourself first... then I will define God to you.

you dont know who you are what capacity you have what will you be tomarrow and what thinking will you be in the next moment. all your thoughts and ideas are built up through your circumstances and the way you brought up, you dont even know the original "you"(you the mortal man at last)

then who the *** are you to ask about God who is infinite, beyound comprehension, omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscience...........

dont wast your time in confusion.. please. ( you may think that I am angry but it is other way that I wanted you not to go into wrong way.....)

God bless you

He is the beginning and the end. He has no limitations to what he can do. He is a jealous God. He created good and evil. He kills, makes alive, makes poor and makes rich. He can bring up a country or make it fall.
