Prime Tyson would KO Prime Ali. He was so explosive and aggressive. Tyson stalked and was very effective at cutting off the ring and getting to his opponent. A young Tyson could handle the faster boxer, look at Spinks as an example. Tyson had a solid chin, and Ali would have to make it very far into the fight before he would even have a chance to KO Tyson (ala Holyfield and Lewis). A Prime Tyson wouldn't allow it to get that far. No one hit like Tyson, no one. Foreman is a close 2nd, but Tyson faught a lot smarter than Foreman. Tyson picked his shots and punches much better, and Tyson had the most effective and powerful uppercut that boxing has ever seen.
I've always agreed with what was said in the previous post.....If Ali wasn't so brash and charasmatic, he would have only been remembered as a very good HW in an era that had quite a few very good HW's

This question has been asked kinda a thousand times but my answer won't change. Ali would win by KO between rounds 8-10. Tyson might be able to knock Ali down but, just like with Frazier in their first fight, he would get up quickly, clear the his head by dancing around, make Tyson miss with his power bombs until he tires out. Then by the 8th Tyson would surely be fighting on empty tank and Ali would finish him off with a barrage.

Manys times has this question been asked... I would say it depends on how Ali would approach the fight... if he tried the rope a dope tyson would have too much power and would KO Ali, but of course if Ali used his technical guiness he would defeat tyson by TKO in the later rounds. I believe would have been a very good match up in their primes.

That would be difficult if they're both in the same era, especially Ali's era. But now, ALi would tire Tyson out and of course, float towards him, like a butterfly and give a powerful cut a sting like a bee!!

Ali would beat the ever loving snot out of Tyson. Ali would be fast enough to evade anything anything Tyson threw up top, and we've all seen what happens when you try and take out Ali's gut. It don't work very well. I agree with Russ that it would go to the judges and would be one for the books.

I think that Ali would wear Tyson out,you did say both in their prime, yes.
I'd envisage Ali 'dancing' for the first 4 - 5 rounds, wearing out Tyson who would be throwing haymakers everywhere, then jabbing and running.
Ali would win on points, provided he missed Tysons hooks.
Tyson outweighing Ali also ?
It would be an amazing fight.
Great question.

i dont comprehend i think of mike might desire to attain an early knock out at his top even nevertheless ali had a brilliant chin you will possibly be able to desire to undergo in concepts ali by no potential confronted a combat fairly like mike tyson you will discover there has by no potential been yet another fighter like him yet ali.....boy ali replaced into something previous his time it can be a remastered version of foreman/ali

both in their primes, tyson would've crushed ali.. everybody's talkin about tyson throwin haymakers, but he never did in his prime. every punch tyson landed was with precision and power back in the day. frazier put ali on the canvas and he didn't have nearly the power that tyson did. and people like to try to say it would've been like the ali/forman fight.. but that's wrong too. foreman was never a very good fighter. he was a big powerful guy who would use that to annihilate his opponents.. tyson was a much smarter fighter than foreman with just as much power in his fists. plus tyson was 5' 11'' while ali was 6' 3'' so you get more power and balance with only a 4'' difference..
ali was a great boxer, but by no means the best. if he were not as charasmatic as he was, i don't think he would've been remembered as the greatest.. but this is all in my opinion of course

I think the iron chin will be knocked down or lose by unanimous decision.I also think Ali would lose an ear like Evander hollyfield did.
