I see so many of you asking and say one thing about one church or another. As for myself - I have attended Jewish Temples in Los Angeles and over in Isreal when I was a Yonger Jewish Girl. When I became a Christian - I went to Baptist (Spirit Filled), Penocostal, Charismatic and now I attend a Church that calls itself - Showers of Blessings - and, it is! When I look for a Church - I look for a Pastor/Teacher that teaches as close as He is able to the Word of God - and, I DO Prefer KJV! I find 'That' version to be the close to all that I have found and studied in the Holy Land.

Be At Peace. Accept God's Grace.

Take Care and God Bless!

For those who are Christian and don't go to Church - Why or Why don't you go to church?

What do you say to when Jesus said: "Forget not the assembly of the Saints."?

God Bless All of those who perticipate in this!

A nondenominational church, were we use the KJV and are filled with the holy spirit, lay hands on the sick and cast out demons, like the bible says to.

I have always attended Independent Baptist Churches, mostly cause I feel they are the closest denomination to what the Bible taught. All other churches were started by man...if you look at all the major 'religions' of the world, they all have their beginning in some man. Jesus was baptised by John the Baptist, and I think He kind of set himself as the example for us to follow.

My sisters were both raised in the Baptist church, but now attend pentecostal type churches. One is nondenominational, which kinda translates to me as 'come as you are, leave as you came' no doctrines or guidelines to govern your life.

I can't get into the 'tongues' thing...seems to me like a lot of emotional hype and hoopla, but I guess to each his/her own. Another thing that bothers me about the pentecostal church is how much influence the women have over the services, ect.

The churches of the New Testament didn't allow the women to take on the roles of men (teaching men, being leaders in the church, certainly not being
pastors (how can a woman be the husband of one wife...a specific requirement for a pastor). That's not to say that we consider women to be second class members in our church, in fact, we are taught that when a woman is revered and honored as a wife and mom, she has no reason to feel less important than a man.

Most of the time, especially in services, I use the KJV or NKJV of the Bible, but I bought a NLT Walk Thru the Bible version for my daily devotions this year.

I have attended several different churches, but they are all the same denomination. I have moved several times, but I always seek out to find a United Methodist church. That is where I find a place that can challenge me and keep me growing in Christ. It isn't so much about the name that is on the door as it is about how much someone grows in the church. The church I am in right now is the exact place God wants me to be right now. That makes me thrilled to be where he needs me.

I wouldn't go to a church because of all the phoniness, sing-song and musical groups, and I also wouldn't go to one of those sissy temples or a dry, boring Orthodox shule, even though I'm Jewish.

Do check out the Foundation of Human Understanding, though at fhu.com.
